I fixed mine by emptying the little water reservoir that's at the back of the unit. It was full of water because I do a lot of steaming. Anytime that happens it's because the resevoir is full in my case. Never had to replace anything, I just empty the resevoir now anytime I use it.

This video is fabulous. I did need to watch it a bunch of times & had several false tries. But today, I calmly watched it again & it worked! Thank you! (Saved it for future use).

Come to Walton if you want striped bass. Easy to catch a bunch 15-20 inches but tricky to land a keeper. Hobart beach is ok but shallower

I picked up the similar Danby unit, except matte black and 550sqft, a week ago at Costco. Also $549. Works great, other than the remote control. It only responds to the power and LED buttons. There is a "lock" graphic on the remote, so I'm guessing I accidentally child proofed it. The app looks like a much better means of control though, using schedules.

Does this need a drainage hose?

Mine is short cycling now. This is the second year… last summer it was fine. This summer with I hooked it up, the compressor runs for a few minutes and shuts off and just uses fan, then a couple minutes more, compressor kicks in again and blows cold. If I put the unit on low fan setting it will stay running.

You have to use a high voltage extension. It’s about $50 where I live. But have to do it otherwise the unit will give you a warning and not run.

Is there a way to turn on and off with timer? Mine just turns on..

Very thorough explaining everything so that I have no questions. After I removed the sensor I tested for clicking and sure enough one of them was not clicking. I examined the part with a flashlight and saw that one of the contacts of the sensor under the one of the flexible stainless strips looked like it had burned out and it looked as if it had disintegrated. I'm about to order the new part and it kept my very old IP (like 2014) from going in the landfill. Thank you so much!

I used instant pot to make hard boiled eggs and then powered it off. The unit started beeping with C1 error code. Unit is almost 5 years old. Is this likely same sensor?

I have too much pressure but no errors. The steam release valve leaks, telling me there's too much pressure for the knob (weight) to seal. I bought a new knob. Same thing.

You'll need to recalibrate the sensors, otherwise it may not work properly
