Preach sister !!!! I cut my only credit card and trashed that shit. Am on the mission of paying 8k before January and start investing my money instead of keeping credit card companies rich. If I don't have the money on my checking I ain't buying it. Time to go hard on building my future.

Hello, I would love to make the jump to Agile as a career. I am 26 years old, I have no certifications or anything impressive for my resume. It's been hard. I don't know where to start because I know it's IT. If you can do a Agile Scrum for dummies video 🤣 I would love to study it. Also if you have any extra resources to help me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

what questions I asked during this video and/or what questions were answered.. questions to answer when determining which cert is right for you? - what are PSM, CSM and SAFE certs? is your resources for certifications ordained for training? - does the person "training" have earned qualifications for training in this subject? - its important to learn the correct facts that are in the certification assessments and not someone's interpretation of facts - many SCRUM masters are presenting facts but may not have credible qualifications to train others on the subject why get CSM first, PSM second and SAFE third? - SAFE requires a CSM or PSM cert as a prerequisite - did not catch the answer to why CSM first and PSM second
@adeyinkaokunladeАй бұрын
CSM requires a qualified trainer to teach you before you can get certified. this allows you to get proper training from a qualified and certified trainer by the Scrum guide organization. Also it is very poular and recognized by most organizations looking to hire a Scrum master. PSM is also popular so dont get it wrong.

Yes I think focusing on one thing at a time is probably better. I multitask sometimes but I will to focus on one thing at a time.

I have a little bit of reservation with the definition of Cross-functional. I thought it meant the team as a whole should have all it takes to excel in the team rather than department? Also, if scrum truly means everyone should be Cross-functional, then should the scrum master and product owner be Cross-functional, too, since they're also part of the team? is there an expectation for a product owner to be a full-stake developer or a scrum master? 😅
@adeyinkaokunlade4 ай бұрын
Th PO has a specific role to play so they need to play that role and it does not include development of work but if they have the skill and want to do so as time allows they can, same as the SM. The cross functionality been mentioned is more focused to the development team.
@OnesTips4 ай бұрын
@adeyinkaokunlade thank you for your response. This is the main reason why some seasoned team members wouldn't agree to the term cross-functional. They believe it's another form of micro-managing and focused more on business interests only. During one of my surveys, some mentioned that not everyone is interested in a particular skill or good at it, just like subjects in school, some you are good at and some you'll naturally struggle with. It's not really easy to counter a genuine concern like that, especially when it involves coding, script, logs etc.

The challenge I have is business analyst work as product owner and also includes writing requirements, documentation, and proof of concept tasks as tickets in Jira board. Also, the Admin server has some access requests in the jira board. This doesn’t follow the SDLC workflow. The team also uses t-shirt sizing, so it's hard to create reports. 😁 this is after so much persuasion

Great explanation Yinka!! The only point I think is that the BurnDown chart is not an agile metric but rather a decision-making tool that should even be used during the Sprint to ensure that the team is delivering according to the Sprint goal of what everyone has commited to deliver and not use it after the Sprint is over. Agile metrics for those running Scrum in my opinion are Velocity metrics or even some Kanban metrics such as Throughput, CFD, WIP Limit, Lead/Cycle time if applied correctly. Congratulations for your channel!! I've become your fan! :)

What if a team member doesn’t wanna listen to you at all . Not giving inputs in any event and when given the guidance she starts yawning n kind of ignores what you are saying. Has lots of excuses. How to deal with such situations.
