more cover but less core, so a little smoother and more continuous motion, but i would say it fits the same part of the bag.

Hi I decided to go Ebonite towaeds the end of 2024. I currently own the One Reverb and the Emerge Hybrid. Can i have your recommendation which Solid coverstock ball i could consider from the Ebonite Line? Thanks Btw , extra information, i do cureently own the Hammer Radioactive Vibe., But it gets dirty easily and this is putting me off. And thinking of getting rid of it and replacing it with an Ebonite bowling ball
@BowlingBuckosh2 күн бұрын
hard to beat the GB5 right now! it will be a little stronger and more than the Vibe, but will fit with the other 2 nicely. If you need a weaker reaction you can always smooth the surface.

What would be better, 4in pin to pap or 4 1/2in?
@BowlingBuckosh2 күн бұрын
very hard to say without knowing your stats. if you are speed dominant or bowl on more oil, 4". if you are matched or rev dominant, or bowl on more medium or light volumes, then 4.5"+. consult with a pro shop who knows or can measure your PAP.
@josephfurrer38793 күн бұрын
Is that the same core as the sledgehammer?
@BowlingBuckosh3 күн бұрын
the sledgehammer was built on that original core platform with an extra large flip block piece on the top, so not exactly the same but close.

I have 8 of these balls now on this chart where would you put the new Effect Tour, Pure Envy, Anger that i have and Black Widow Mania witch i am planning to also buy. There you have the guy hoo plays only with Hammer balls. Please continue helping. Iam starting to be confused.
@BowlingBuckosh4 күн бұрын
I recommend not buying balls just because you want to. Buy balls that fill out your arsenal and have different motions than your existing equipment, or as replacements for motion shapes that are old and worn out. Effect Tour is between Hazmat and Scorpion LF; Pure Envy is stronger more midlane and more forward than BW 3.0 Solid; Anger is longer and sharper than Envy Tour Pearl; Mania is right under Effect as long/sharp.

You wouldn't expect the Zone core to do what it does, since it looks plain; but its backend motion is reliable for speed dominant bowlers, as well as balanced. The rev dominant folks don't worry about backend. If they are seeing deflection, they are throwing the ball too fast. I've seen the Mesmerize, and it reads dependably for all bowlers (speed, matched, rev dominant), and the backend motion is strong, along with continuation that can't be denied, thanks to Specto (look at the pin deck exit board for pocket hits).

The 30 year anniversary of the Danger Zone is just around the corner! I’d love to see its return with HK22 and thick shell! Or at least Dynamicore 2. Maybe call it Dangerize, Bryan! Ha! No I’d rather the old Danger Zone with the iconic Z look. I’d probably order a truckload since I still throw the original and vintage Danger Zones.

Pre-watch prediction: Mesmerize, Vaporize, Ivory Rhino. I personally loved the Endeavor, but can't recall seeing more than a few of them. Post-watch: Mesmerize was an easy call. My PSO sold so many of them. And the Vaporize was super popular as well.

I need a pro shop local to me that will even attempt to understand anything about these no thumb layouts. The 2 centers here roll their eyes when someone walks in not using a thumbhole. I'd like to get my PaP and current layout and just order balls already drilled in this manner to save the frustration. 😑

that is a shame, they are behind the times. Where are you located?

@BowlingBuckosh Eastern Ohio. Toronto Lanes is my "home"... but we don't really have a pro shop so I travel to nearby centers for drilling. Small town America problems. 🤷♂️

Look at Layout E - Smaller Hook, on the Hitter drill sheet (in the box or 'resources' on the ball page of the website). Takes you exactly where you want to go. Add surface for best results.
@FredSoDak11 күн бұрын
@@BowlingBuckosh Thank you, I have tried short pin layouts on asyms before & had poor pocket carry. Might have to give it another shot. If the small hook layout has the same result as tour editions; then why does Hammer keep coming out with tour editions of their balls?

the Radical core designs with the noses and scoops change the after-drilling numbers in a substantial way for each layout.

@@BowlingBuckosh I remember now why I cannot use that specific layout. I have a ball with it on & it dry flares over my thumb, right before the pocket, just exiting the hook phase. Thumper ball does not always go thru the pins correctly. Thank you for the suggestion, am always looking to learn.
@BowlingBuckosh9 күн бұрын
@@FredSoDak this surprises me a bit since the flare spacing is so much smaller on the short-pins. Does the bowtie point get pulled down toward your fingers on these layouts?

I have a bag of 10 Hammers and my favorite of them is the new Hazmat Solid. I also really like the Effect and still use my Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid after the Effect. Another ball I use a lot from 2024 is the Scorpion Low Flare. It handles a lot of different conditions. Another amazing Hammer that came out this year is the Arctic Vibe. It hooks way more than I thought it would, but it is great when the lanes start breaking down.

Pre-watch predictions. Super hard to pick 3 balls, because Hammer could really do no wrong this year. so instead of picked the 3 think won, I'm going to pick the 3 see on the lanes the most in league. Black Window 3.0, Arctic Vibe and Hammer Effect. Although almost every ball could make the list, those are the 3 I see every where on league night. Post-watch. I can see the Effect Tour making the list, because it's been super popular as well, especially considering it's so new. The recent Vibes are all just so good... and people seem to love the white arctic. I'd buy myself a case of Radioactives if I could find them, because that ball is so perfect for me.
