I was a ballroom dancer - a large part of our training for a competition was how to recover from interruptions (another dancer getting in your path), being "bumped", performing a figure that "did not pan out" the way it should, getting distracted, music skipping (or worse, missing a beat) ... recovery and "smiling" was essential - the audience may not notice but judges would ... usually! It honestly just shows how skilled they are to catch it so perfectly and keep going. It shows real skill if you can effortlessly move on even with a misstep or a fall or other mistakes. I have so much respect for these dancers!

It wasn't accident mistake in Gisele. Mirth is waking them up from grave. They elevated from both sides of the stage for a second and them go to the stage to dance. I danced it 👍

Just to note the Misty clip, the music is not in sync. You can hear the audience clapping when misty finishes the first set of turns and Nicoletta is not improvising that is literally what comes next 😂

Most of them were able to hide it really well it was hard to tell some of them messed up

Interesting videos, I would say... Sometimes even funny but mostly - poor dancers!!! 😞. I know myself how (!!!) frustrating it can be, these mistakes, especially when everything is presented in front of the public, and you can't go back, delete, correct.... Not funny at all and strange that someone has free time to collect all these pieces just to show the mistakes👿. But!... The most important thing: kudos to the dancers who are so talented, who not only know how to dance, act on stage and go all the way, at a high level, that even the mistakes are performed with great skill‼‼‼👏👏👏BTW, the black cat running on stage is really talented 🤣🤣🤣

I know this video is a few years old but I do want to say that people tend to forget that under those tutus and pointe shoes there is a person. As ballet dancers people tend to put us on such high pedestals to be beautiful and perfect that they forget that we are people too and we are bound to make mistakes no matter how much we practice or how long we have been dancing. However, I will say that if a slipup does happen during a performance it's all about how you recover. Always make it a good recover because no one knows the chorography but the dancers and the artistic director.
