Interesting video, thank you for sharing. I was an engineer at Belshaw back in the 80’s and 90’s. I can’t take any credit for the B machines.

Hey so I know this is a video that's over 8 years old but I'm going to be getting one of these machines also and I'm curious how you've done with yours? I couldn't see any of the photos that were in that link because it was not working. Maybe things have changed in 8 years I don't know if you still check

This is not a kitchenaid mixer it is a Hobart C210. you will not find the name kitchenAid on the mixer. kitchenAid was Hobart's consumer line, Hobart was the commercial line. Kitchenaid's first mixer was the H5 5qt. they have never maid a 10qt.

Sheesh. How big is big, and how small is small? WHAT SIZE IS EACH OF THOSE POTS? My crockpot is small and so basic it doesn't have its capacity listed. I came here to see if it could be identified.

I had great hopes that you might have shown this in operation. Have you looked at using this to cut a multi zone screw? Ie feed, compression and meter. I wonder if your setup might be able to do that by setting the drill rod up on an angle.

Hey curious, how useful is this compared to a food processor? How much of a pain is it to clean? For example would you want to use it regularly or only when you have task that warrant a large amount of processing? Thanks
@postholedigger8726
@postholedigger8726 8 ай бұрын
A food processor is a compromise between a blade chopping machine and, with the slicing-grating attachments, can do bowl quantity batch grating. Once the processor bowl is full, it must be disassembled and emptied. A pelican head is a feed through device and because there is no processor bowl to fill, the food to be processed can be run in any desired quantity. Unlike the preset slicing thickness for a food processor slicing disk, the pelican head slicing disk is adjustable to any desired slice thickness The grating/shredding disks can grate cheese, as shown in this video, al well as vegetables like potatoes, carrots, cabbage. Unlike a food processor, a pelican head cannot do chopping but it performs the slicing and grating tasks much better than a food processor. .A pelican head has three basic components and is very easy to disassemble and clean. I have several food processors but my favorite chopping machine is a Buffalo Chopper. This link shows my Buffalo Chopper fine mincing vegetables for a mirepoix. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3u9q2aJbLeFmJo

Cool. Thanks for the thoughtful reply. That makes sense. Ahh I was tempted to purchase a Buffalo Chopper simply for the cool factor. Knew I would rarely use it, but they sure are efficient. Thanks again.@@postholedigger8726

Can you provide me with some instruction on how to sharpen the slicer blades? My blades are finally getting dull and my sauerkraut isn't turning out as well as it did when the blades were new and sharp.

I wanted to buy my niece one of these, but had no idea how big it was - a used one of course. I couldn't hope to afford the price of a new one. I could have purchased one, if I had known it wasn't absolutely huge. I got her a n50 instead. That will have to be good enough.

This is old-school. I worked in a machine shop with Europeans who immigrated after WW II. They took precautions but they would consider our focus on safety today a bit excessive. The video demonstrates that thin stainless steel sheet (18, 20 gauge?) can be cut hand-held with a jigsaw.

I used a 3 ton hoist to move a 25 feet log with a a 26 inch diameter that probably weight about 5 tons. I used a 8 foot sling around the tree that the log came from connect the hoist to the sling at about 7 feet high and and put another sling around the cut log and dragged closer to the tree and put smaller logs underneath so I could cut it easier with a chain saw.

I have a 1.5 Ltr Slow Cooker with an "Auto" (very difficult to find) setting, which cooks on "High" for 2 hours and then switches to "Low." Most Slow Cookers seem to have "Low, High, Warm" settings....not really for me. I usually leave it on for 8 hours, in total and the results are usually amazing. I've become a dab hand at "dump and go" recipes, especially when you can buy small bags of finely chopped, prepared veg, add meat/beans/browned, sliced sausages a "Casserole Mix," and or, a tin of Oxtail/Tomato/Cream of Mushroom Soup and seasonings and voila, come home to a very tasty casserole, which usually yields 3 good sized portions. 1 for dinner and 2 for the freezer. I use it, at least 2x per month and wouldn't be without it!

One thing to consider, being that they are comparable in price, is a warranty. Stanley has a LIFETIME, as long as you haven't actually ABUSED it. I dropped 2 different Stanley's from working on a radio tower. They claim 4k feet drop. Obviously, that would be abuse, though. Anyway, mine fell from about 50'. One had obvious damage inside and out, the other just the stopper. Contacted Stanley and the sent me two more of the style that fell (one was a "coffee" bottle, the other was a food bottle [which is the one that had just a stopper break/crack]), and a new stopper for the one that just needed the stopper. I also know of people that Stanley has sent free stoppers to as well if they broke. Just provided them with pictures. With Thermos brand, the ABSOLUTE MOST warranty you can get is a 5 YEAR. I also inherited a 1989 Stanley "coffee" bottle from, that the foam insulation inside the stopper broke down (didn't get anything in my bottle, just when shook sounded like sand), I contacted them about it and they sent me a new stopper for that one as well. Stanley is the way to go!!!! I will be replacing my Stanley's (actually storing them for my kids, till they can appreciate quality stuff), with thier Master Series.

This in not the correct way to do this. Cheap way maybe but your choosing and operators life over saving money and the tow operator with a mentality if I can hook it I can tow it! This is how not to properly tow a container or connex.
