I tried fasting until 5pm and my heart palpitations went out of control. Now, every time I eat more then a couple of fist fulls of food, they come back and last hours. Just can’t lose weight either. It’s a never ending battle.

But isn't also the drugs. High blessed cholesterol drugs and hi, blood pressure drags. Isn't the side effects of those heart condition? Which I don't understand. Obviously

I was lucky enough to be under Professor Elliott and Mr Shipolini in 2019 when I had my myectomy. Mr Shipolini is a wonderful man and a brilliant surgeon and Professor Elliott always explains everything clearly and honestly - what a great team they are.

Are you referring to the BMJ study that was published recently (2024)? This study has caused me to stop taking fish oil completely. It has me bewildered. Not sure whether to continue on fish oil or not. What do you think?

This meta-analysis from 2021 found evidence for an increased risk of atrial fibrillation in higher dose supplementation with Omega-3 for those that were susceptible to heart rhythm disorders - www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8756005/ . An excellent event which is highly timely for myself, as I am in line to receive Mavacamten shortly. Although this has risks, future cardiac myosin inhibitors may well be safer and better tolerated. Indeed, it would seem that this is the case already with the investigational drug Aficamten. Clearly, much needs to be known about the long-term effects of being on such medication, but CMI offer a helpful alternative to septal reduction therapy.

I had no heart damage after heart failure. My EF was 10-14% in the hospital. After being released my EF has improved to 30-39%. Now I’m in a cardiac rehab program and I’m expecting it to get in the normal range. Some patients do improve their EF through exercise and diet while some don’t. You are misleading patients.

The heart damage of some kind comes before heart failure. Without any cardiac damage, your heart won’t fail.
