Dealer told me they scanned it and they couldn't program my headlight to the module. They suggested new headlights at 3800 each.Took it to 2 dealers. Ended up having a programmer code it remotely for the way cheaper win

L461 Range Rover Sport here. I want to change the rear pads soon. When I went and ahead released the EPB, it automatically enabled ABS assembly mode. I had to get in there and disable ABS assembly mode for the stability control and brake fault to go away. Any advise for those of trying to simply disengage EPB to change pads?

When replacing any brake component other than pads and rotors, the vehicle will have to be put into assembly mode. When Assembly Mode is enabled, the instrument cluster will emit a chime, and warning lights will be illuminated

Hi, I got my valvetronic motor replaced, got a permanent code 135C11.. let the car run on its own for 2 hours, and everything was sounding fine. Now (2 days after replacement) I started hearing the crackling sound again when opening/closing the car. What can it be? The eccentric shaft was fine. My mechanic says it’s either the connector that’s gone wrong, or the DME/ECU.. any suggestions?

If you have the same fault code, I would return to your mechanic to have it inspected. You'll have to pinpoint the source of the noise to see if it is related to the Valvetronic motor or eccentric shaft.

Not likely. Used headlights are not recommended by Mercedes-Benz. if installed one bulb may illuminate, but not all all. I would suggest new only.

Yes. Reverse 1 is achieved by engaging Brake 3, Brake Reverse, and the K3 clutch. Reverse 2 is selected the same way, but substituting Brake 1 for Brake 3.

As you're aware the 2024 Cayenne has a secure gateway locking certain modules/systems from bi-directional commands from scan tools until the gateway is unlocked. This is similar to the SFD lock system in place with VW/Audi. However, Porsche does not have a token system available yet. iSCAN by Autoland is able to assist our customers with unlocking the instrument cluster remotely via SOD using factory Porsche software. Once the cluster gateway is unlocked, the iSCAN can easily reset the service reminder. We are hoping Porsche will introduce a token based system in the near future but it is uncertain.

Question and it might be kinda dumb what if the relearn was done instead of the start up on a new motor and now it sounds horrible when trying to do the start up and won’t let me run it?

Check for fault codes first. If you have fault related to the Valvetronic system, remove and inspect installation of the motor. Use a borescope to inspect the where the motor meets the gear on the eccentric shaft.

We have been asked a few times about installing used headlights, and here's the answer: Good question. Here's the best way to look at it. We don't recommend it. Here's why. If you source a used headlight, you can swap the housing over to your vehicle, using all the old electronics from your vehicle. That will allow it to work without recoding. The vehicle will not know you swapped anything. However, the new (used) headlight housing will have or potentially have its own unique MATRIX data for the housing. You will then have to learn that dat matrix. Coding will not be necessary because you reused your electronics.

Can wheel speed sensors effect ECU operations? I have a modern motorcycle (Yamaha FJR1300) that is exhibiting lurching at part throttle.. and I have replaced TPS and MAP sensors, the injectors, adjusted the vales, checked the fuel pump.. Could a bad wheel sp. sensor cause a misfire?

If the vehicle is designed to stop throttle actuation in the event of traction loss, yes. If slip is seen when it is not occurring, it is a possibility.
