I've experienced a lot of typhoons here in the philippines and it's really scary specially the winds like monster trying to destroy our house. One typhoon that our house was totally destroyed, only the floors were left. We're a bit scared now specially that reports stating about 22 to 25 typhoons will hit our country this year due to La Nina.

@brod2man It will last for next 12 to 18 hours basically. Thats my understanding. Look up "cyclone yasi" and read some older stuff about it. It hits the coast hard then will move across to the west and enters the northern territory. But the damage is happening now with a another storm surge (at high tide at 9 am) likely happening causing flooding.
