I'm not sure honestly... I think you're referring to her Spider Bite ability? It's not quite an instakill. But you're right, it's very powerful doing about 70 True Damage per second.

Why no barracks
@pixelchipkyle16138 ай бұрын
Initially, I was using the barracks. But there were too many enemies, and they would always break past my soldiers. Also, the barracks isn't very effective against these types of enemies. You've got the screecher bats which fly AND their special screech attack temporarily immobilizes your troops. Then you've got the dark spitters with their ranged attack. And then the webspitters also immobilize your troops. So the barracks is very disadvantaged here. It's better to go all in on archery towers and then use your infantry units to help block. And using the fairy hero is good because she can temporarily create 4 clones which also helps to block.

Good question. I just found it to be too expensive. They would die and then I would have to spend more to replace them. Also, the little dogs run fast and bypass infantry units.

Just had a chance to watch how you played this game. There were a couple of strategies you figured out that I wasn't aware of. I was especially in awe of how few times you saved your game position and beat the game! (I cracked up when you saved your position as "scrooge" before entering the Casino!) I remember saving it before and after Boss Rooms, any time I acquired another piece of fruit, and the other things (jawbone, torch, ticket, heart containers, etc.), as well as frequently throughout. You were very brave and skilled at completing this. It was great to see someone else who enjoyed tackling this game all the way through like I did (many times). It was a great memory and I had fun cheering you on as I knew what the next step was to go through. Thanks!
@pixelchipkyle16132 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Pat! I'm glad you liked the video and I really appreciate the support. Yeah, I definitely had to practice playing this game several times before I felt confident in running through the whole thing. But saving is definitely important as there's lots of tricky areas and there's a few areas that will soft lock the game and bar you from progressing further. Spiritual Warfare is a solid game though and I'm glad there's still people out there who enjoy it. Are there any other games (Christian or otherwise) that you recommend I check out?
@patnugent73342 жыл бұрын
@@pixelchipkyle1613 The only other game I frequently played was Exodus where Moses has to collect jars of manna (kind of a Pac-Man thing) while ducking all kinds of obstacles as the levels increase. I couldn't get past Level 17. The game Exodus came in a triple pack that had Spiritual Warfare and Bible Adventures. Regarding Exodus, I recently found a post on KZbin (with screen shots like yours for Spiritual Warfare) by someone who got through all 100 levels. Unfortunately you don't have the option to save your game position but you can advance levels by 5 (I think), but I know the farthest you can do the auto advance is up to Level 84.
@pixelchipkyle16132 жыл бұрын
@@patnugent7334 Yes! Exodus is a good game. But yeah, I always get stuck around the same place. The difficulty really starts to ramp up around there. I love Bible Adventures too. That's amazing! I would love to complete Exodus. I'll have to figure out how to do that level skip. I didn't know about that. A save feature would definitely improve the game and make it more accessible.

I bought this game 25 years ago and it took me two months to crack through it the first time. After that I got to the end 20 or so times, discovering every nook and cranny. Then Windows had an upgrade at some point where my game was no longer compatible.
@pixelchipkyle16132 жыл бұрын
Wow! Then you, my friend, are the true master of Spiritual Warfare. To get the game running on modern hardware, you could buy it on Steam. It's a package called the Spiritual Warfare & Wisdom Tree Collection. Or you could use a DOS emulation program like DOSBox or D-Fend Reloaded to run the game.

@@pixelchipkyle1613 I forgot to check into this when I saw your post. I did a search the other day and found Steam. Got set up through Steam and got the Spiritual Warfare and Wisdom Tree Collection. I could not believe, at long last, I had Spiritual Warfare up and running on my PC again! In starting to play it once more, I am really rusty - haven't played this in 6 years.
