Just needed some fatter tires and guided shells. Only issues in them old days were logistical space, and there's no jack getting that off the ground. I am surprised the Jaguar motor worked.. lol Now a days, it needs a couple anti-missile missiles up top and some guided shells.. and the enemy will be spending about the same money to hit it with a better missile. Still good against infantry- but uruly terrain is the ultimate boss. Imagine artillery that fired guided shells in a burst like a GAU. lol "It won't be accurate from the vibrations!" They're guided, dummy.

Does the expression "tank plinking" ring any bells. How did the Russian equipment hold-up against the A-10's and AH-64's? Quantity may have a quality all of its own, but I'll take an M1 Abrams over any Russian armor, thank you very much.

The later model Panzer III Ausf F / G was up gunned to the 5cm KwK.38 in early 1941, which was still inferior to the 2 Pounder. Even the final 5cm KwK.39 L/60 was only on par with the 2 Pounder. Later 2 Pounder ammunition regained ascendency but was mostly issued to armoured cars.
