Hey! First of all, what an incredibly cool print-looks absolutely amazing. Great job! Secondly, how did you manage to achieve such fine details with an FDM printer? What was your layer height, and did you have to do a lot of sanding?
@RC-3Dimensions5 күн бұрын
@@TNESatiron Thank you very much! 🙂 I use a layer height of 0.18 for larger models like this one. I did a very small amount of sanding just to tidy up where supports were. I used maybe 4 or 5 layers of filler primer. The stuff is amazing at achieveing a smooth top surface if you apply enough coats. 🙂 Thanks for watching! 👍😃

I am making the same sword. Do you apply clear coat before the graphite powder or just a glossy base coat ? And what about sealing afterwards.

With only a few adjustments, I think you can build one that flies. This is based on the recent RC design that's been going around, but no one has yet to detail it in such a way that it looks closer to the screen version.

@@Sharpness.V1 In Orca, at the top of the screen are options. Choose the one to orientate the object. If your happy with it, choose export G-code file at the top right. Then make sure u are saving it to an SSD or whatever your printer uses to tranfer files onto. You should take a look on youtube for printing tips for your specific printer and Orcaslicer tutorials. @RC-3DimensionsАй бұрын
Hey, so you 3D Print each part. When you get your 3D Printer, you will need a program called a Slicer. You simply put what you want to 3D Print into the slicer, adjust the settings (there is a lot of help online with this) and then print each piece. Its not as complicated as it first seems. 😃
@Sharpness.V1Ай бұрын
@@RC-3Dimensionsok thank you so much what do you mean by adjust the settings like the size or something I’m just so lost and don’t want to mess it up
@RC-3DimensionsАй бұрын
@@Sharpness.V1 Its no problem, you wont need to change sizing. Things like supports, quality, infill. This probably sounds nuts to you right now but you will figure it out once you get into a slicer. You should install Orca or Cura Slicer, put a free model into it from Thingiverse and just play around with it. Its probably the best way to learn. KZbin has a lot of videos on it too, it will help you out a lot. 😁
