Unnecessary shreeeeeeiiking. That's what Gillan has been the best at. Dio and Halford were technically superior singers who did Ozzy era songs justice, even Martin did a great job without adding annoying owwwww yooooww blaaaaahh bloooooo. This nonsense was merely for tonedeaf, biased Gillan fans. Same morons who love Glenn Hughes, and Ray Gillen. There was a very good reason why Ozey, Dio and Martin lasted for however long they did. Black Sabbath wouldn't have been Black Sabbath if they had Ray Gillen, Ian Gillan and Glenn Hughes as their primary vocalists. Thank Fuck for that. Enjoy the mediocrity, you dumb morons.

Gillan's arguably singing better here than he did a year or so later with the reunited Deep Purple. He certainly sounds a lot less forced....

Luciano Pavaroti said Ian Gillian was a powerhouse on the mic. That's some high praise.

I really wish they could have held on long enough to make another album, as their live sets were really great as it worked better than it had any right to? But sadly the Deep Purple reunion was waiting in the wings, that too was better than it had any right as well! But great it was(IS!) And we have live recordings like this to remind us just how great this lineup was❤️🎸😎👍
