One of the reasons these classes are so hard, is that many of those professors are out of touch, have been in academia too long, and many of them have tenure... so it doesn't matter what their class failure rate is, or how good they are at teaching. Many just recycle last year's PowerPoint slides, and don't care if you learn anything, because they are doing the bare minimum in order to get back to their research work (i.e. what they really care about).

My granddaughter has finished her 3rd year in chem e at UMich (whose chemical engineering department is ranked 7th best in USA) with a 3.86 GPA. She placed out of inorganic chemistry and took organic in her freshman year (she was just 17 then). She admits organic was tough: got a B in each semester. Other than that all A's. BTW the UMich math department is ranked in the top 10 in the world. She breezed through including differential equations. Oh, one more thing- she told me she has a tendency to "overstudy". Last year in her biology class she completed 400 practice questions for the two hour final exam. She finished in 15 minutes and scored 100%. It can be done.

I lived in Nosker my junior year back in 1978. It was coed by room with one bedroom with two twin bunks. Loved it

9$ per seving, even here in new Zealand (Which comes out at about 14$ a serving here) is basically cheap takeaways. Im a disabled beneficiary, and so I gotta be extremely economical with my meals. My curries come out at about 2.70nzd a serving, and I get 3-4 serving out of each batch. I spend the most on my salades, averaging 3.6nzd a serving. Paying that much per serving is fucking extreme

I took Calculus with a tough professor who did not curve grades, did not give extra credit, and purposely made exams difficult. I’m pretty good at Math too. Needless to say, over half of our class dropped and only 4 people passed. Luckily I passed with a “B”. It was the lowest grade on my transcript but that class nearly broke me.

Good I hope the word dies off soon it’s really annoying at this point I know the word isn’t going anywhere it’s just so overused that it’s annoying
