When songs leak like this it’s because the files change hands and someone intercepts them. That’s how we knew Good News / Benji the Dog etc were getting released long before any announcements. In this instance yes, the leaks have been around for a while, but they’re all just demo mp3 bounces most likely straight from Mac’s laptop and there’s no way to tell if he worked on them more from then on, or what form the songs eventually took on. Maybe they were bounced as a demo version of the project back in 2014 and left that way, maybe not. It’s also possible that the leaked versions of these songs were all they had to go on as far as reference when they sent it off for mixing. The leaked versions just display where those songs were at when he hit export. Other than Funny Papers, almost every song is untouched by a mixing engineer. From the trailer alone it sounds like the songs have been mixed and mastered for release. Most likely Eric Dan mixing the project given the time it was made. All this to say, you don’t know shit if you don’t have the Logic session open in front of you. Stop telling people to listen to leaks.
