Thanks for the input! I am not expert in the boundaries of the ancient kingdoms but always interested to learn. In my mind Idumeans (Edomites) and Nabateans are related, but mostly from much later history in second temple times when those two ethnicities were closely related. Jordan is closely associated with the Nabateans nowadays - so I probably said Jordan in my podcast as that is where my brain goes ... but obviously the boundaries of the ancient kingdoms were very different in those days.

@@saulweinreb6377 I really feel the more Christianity fell away from the Tanakh the more we've lost the real bread and meat of the Word. The Torah is foundational and you can do nothing without the fulfilment of the Law (and the Prophets). And the less you study all of scripture the easier it is to fall into all these stupid heresies.
@saulweinreb63772 ай бұрын
That may be true, but it is not my place to tell Christians what they are doing right or wrong. I just study and teach and try to do my best in the search for truth we are all engaged in together.

@@saulweinreb6377 Good Morning ! Just delighted to meet you and receive messages from you. I have listened for many hours to your voice. I feel I know you a little. . Wasting no time I want to share something with you maybe you will find useful .. I am fifty years old, and have gone through two divorces and am currently in the aftermath of the second .. I ask myself why does your podcast bring me such comfort and what is this profound attraction I am experiencing for these walks through His Word..? Suddenly it becomes clear. I am suffering and I am in exile. I think it is a Jewish saying..save one person and you have saved the world? I think it goes like that. How can I adequately express that I hear Him in your podcasts calling me to repent and to seek His love and guidance? I wonder how a person might endeavor to learn Hebrew? Do you offer classes? Anyway, I'm so grateful for what you are doing and I'll be listening! Thank you Saul. God bless you

@nothinghere1996 According to Jewish tradition, and according to the simple meaning of the prophets, the Messiah will be an ordinary human being, not a supernatural beibg of any kind. There is no way to know what language will be his native tongue. One can certainly try and imagine what it might be, but this is not an important detail. The important thing is for all of us to work together to bring about the conditions in which we will all be worthy to experience the Messianic age of peace, knowledge and unity of purpose for all of God's creations.

@@saulweinreb6377 it rather matters everything as he will be the king of kings. So he would need to be a native speaker in the defacto global language. Accent free, as there can be zero ambiguity, so not even a fluent speaker. The global language is English, as we use now. And there is only one country on earth that speaks English. England. And the religion of England is the Church of England, then he must be a Christ. There are two Christs in the NT, neither are Jewish, and neither was Moses. Ok. So what will be his level of education? High school, bachelors, or phd?

Visions of past and future, telepathy, a visitor from a portal after I looked up and asked "who am I?". Golden breast plate, pale like an albino, white hair, glowing, eyes shining like stars. He replied "David, you are a son of God", and then vanished in a flash. Shortly after, a snake eyed demon appeared before me in a telepathic vision, I guess you could call it. He quickly disconnected but it felt like an attack so I asked for assistance and had a quick flash of golden warrior angels diving down through darkness. Then I saw his head grabbed from behind and a sword cut it off. My visitor came over two years ago. Just a few weeks ago, I had a quick vision of him. He was crouched down behind a barricade with his sword drawn in what looked like a ruined city. This barbarian like fellow (nephilim probably), was trying to get at him and then they both stopped, turned their heads, and looked at me like I was there. My full name in gematria stated "the name of a direct male descendant of King David. A gifted lady said I have apostle energy and was at the crucifixion. My middle name is John,

Thank you for your response.. my question is: what is the role of the artist/craftsman, theologically speaking - I've been told painting and idolatry are synonymous recently- as a painter I would appreciate your point of view. @@saulweinreb6377
@saulweinreb63774 ай бұрын
Painting and craftsmanship are certainly not synonymous with idolatry! It really depends on context. In Jeremiah 10:1-10, the prophet certainly criticizes those craftsman who fashion idols as gods to be worshipped, I suggest you read those verses. However, in Jeremiah 18:1-10 God compares Himself to a potter/craftsman - here it depends on the product being made, if it is proper and useful and works as intended then it is good, but if the product does not work as intended, it is destroyed. There are of course many references to artists/craftsman in the Torah, most famously Betzalel and Oholiav in Exodus 31 who were praised for their skills. The bottom line is that if the artist's product serves a positive purpose, it can be a beautiful and wonderful thing. If it is meant as an idol or a source of pride/arrogance then it is criticized. I hope this answers your question.

People need to quit blaming "God" for evil. Humans are responsible for good and evil in this world. That is why we were given choice and blaming God when something doesn't go your way is a deflection of responsibility. Some tribes are even so blind that they will do all kinds of nefarious things to benefit their small group and call it good. If something doesn't go their way it must be evil. What if you look at it from your opponents perception? It would be reversed right? Well then that is just your subjective opinion of good and evil and not objective Truth. A very primitive way of viewing the world. How arrogant and ignorant can you be if you believe that your opinions are God's view? If this is how you think then your God isn't the One. Just like you can't change history to fit your narrative because no matter how well you cover it up it is still a lie. Selective history is not true history and why humanity is lost. If you want to know where your going you have to know where you have been.

With regard to leaven, I see it used in parables in the New Testament in terms of something that spreads, both for good and for evil. The Kingdom of God is likened to a small piece of leaven kneaded into dough, and the whole batch of bread rises. In another instance there's a bit of humour, where Jesus tells his disciples to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees ... they completely miss the point and say to each other, "He said this because we haven't any bread."

The q&a at the end of this video really has me considering things I haven't before re: the connection of the soul to the life force within us. I have never thought of our DNA (that what makes us grow and develop) as connected to our soul. This really brings life to the phrase "the body is the temple of the soul." Now I'm pondering where the energy goes after the physical body fails (1st Law of Thermodynamics) and the fact that our bodies are an ecosystem for other living things - bacteria. Life within life. Anyway, thanks for the 🤯.
