tried it on my Sony VAIO VGN-AR (GT 8600M) with a no video beep code without flux and it worked, now i have to fix the backlight issue... Ideally you would want to do a chip replacement with the newer revision (the underfill is fixed) if you have a NVIDIA 8000 series GPU as this isn't a permanent fix, the chip itself has a faulty underfill which causes the GPU failure, but I just wanted it to work temporarily.
