Thank you, great video. Only thing is, this is America, use Miles instead of Kilometers, gee wizz. I cant do the math after a Six pack.

In the plane analysis, are the CL and CD values shown below average values for the whole wing?

I replicate your process to learn and check the results. But I encountred a problem and result did not pop-up. Shown problem is "outside the flight envelope". I little search on internet people suggest changing the Re number but its not make sense because I did what you did so why did I encountered this problem ? PLEASE HELP..

Hey, I'm part of a DBF team trying to do some analysis. I'm used to the old version where you can check and uncheck all the different analysis it does in a batch to check out the Cl curves for a specific Reynolds number. New version doesnt seem to do this, and for the life of me I cant figure out how to get it to work! You mentioned using "show all op points" for the selected foil up top, but I've done e that (also tried hide all polars and then tried show associated op points) and it didnt seem to do anything.

I think I saw a TIDAL BORE at the railroad bridge many years ago. Is that possible? A very large sailboat, (under engine power of course), struggled to get up & over a wave just before the railroad bridge. The boat was heading west to east. The boat ‘climbed’ up the wave & slid back down multiple times before conquering the wave & getting over it. It was fascinating to watch. I live < 1/4 mi from the railroad bridge as the crow flies. Am researching as the Mayflower II is returning to Plymouth tomorrow. Someone I know was the nautical advisor for when the Mayflower II went to Connecticut; not sure if he was advisor for tomorrow’s navigation.

Are those figures you have on the Note at the right hand side at the beginning of the design for the wings calculated by yourself or they are just existing figures for your desired cessna wing design. I mean the figure for m, V, h, mu? Are they an already existing figures for the cessna you choosed to design?

For anyones info who wants to know, F1 scale models cannot run at the same higher speeds that a full f1 car would on track. As per the regulations they are limited to 50m/s air speed so matching reynolds numbers becomes a massive problem

İs it possible to guess a ship’s speed by just measuring the waves’ period washing over a nearby beach? (Provided that beach is parallel to the motion)

Have a second? Awesome videos! Quick question ; do you know the Longest Recorded wave period ever recorded ? For swell. I do recall the occasional 20-22’ period in the pacific and Indian oceans. One would assume that longer period = bigger SWH but it was a .5m @ 22seconds. So that means it traveled a long ways? Surfing a 1’ @ 35 seconds would be interesting. Shoaling closeout

It's such a great lecture. During my university years I missed these types of lectures where you see great visual demonstrations (eg. the accelerated video from the lab), and actual surveys, photos of bedforms.. I mostly looked at grayscale drawings from some old book from decades ago. I specially liked the part about the scallops. Thank you!

When I do a batch analysis, all the lines in the graph are the same color. How to change this?
@samarthpatil40924 жыл бұрын
On upper side, there are few symbols. After these symbols, there are 3 successive windows. Click on 3rd windows and u will get a list of Reynolds numbers. Click on each one by one, and change the colour on the analysis window.
