just an aftermarket aluminum radiator with a couple pusher fans on it. i really wouldn't need them, but like to run them on the return lane when I'm going rounds.

Back-at-cha man. Quick car you've got there. Wish I knew some tricks, to somehow get more subscribers, so I could buy some gear, get some help, and keep my channel going. Personally, I really like the type of small-time, grass-roots content, of channels like ours. I'm pretty sure others do too.

I know, it's like they always say "close enough" ha ha (including me this time). I've been having trouble finding "quick adjust" timing sets for BBC lately from Cloyes, but Comp cams makes about the same set. #8110 for BBC. They are expensive, but my preferred way to do it. (easiest). Otherwise, if they don't want to spend that much money, get a set with 9 keyway lower sprocket, and just keep checking and adjusting until it's where you want it. I just fought a Pontiac that was way off. Should of filmed that one. You would of been sleeping by the end. Ha ha

It's just a little lower than an L88 set-up with the 7474 intake and 4150. I did have to get rough with the air-cleaner base a little, and use a flat head bolt, instead of the stud and wing-nut. It still rubs a bit, even bows the hood up a little when its latched, but it works. If you're still running the Quadrajet, it may be tough to find a taller factory intake that will fit. The factory intakes just sucked for these cars after 69

Your basic 582 low-deck. 4.60 bore, 4.375 stroke, 11 to 1 compression, 785 lift, 290 solid roller, heads flow about 410 @ .800 on the intake side. Around 800HP on 91 pump gas. EZ combo. I found a used rotating assembly, that had the rods turned .010, and had the whole thing done for around $10K. That was 8 years ago. Anyone can do this stuff. I'm just a nobody.

What does it run now? You should only need somewhere between 300 and 350HP to hit 13.5. What rear gears are in it? 4 speed car or something? Shouldn't take much. Almost anyone can do what I do.

@@TheEpicWolfGirl Its an all stock automatic, 71 Base Corvette...I think they ran around a 15 second quarter mile out of the factory. It feels like a pig compared to my 2016 Camaro SS with a 460 HP stock LT1. I still love to drive the Vette though, but it would be nice to punch it and actually have some power ; |

@@cgmax9830 Make sure your rear end housing doesn't have an AW stamped on the bottom of it. AW means 3.08 gears, and dog city with a small block.

Kind of a silly way common folk describe the different generations of corvette. The term C3 is actually kind of an insult to a 68-72 owner, (because of the 10 years of dogs that followed those years, that were classified the same,) but it is what it is. Ruined the value of ours, but we deal with it.
