And another thing: Jhonny gets dumber and less capable every movie that passes In the first one hes been travelling the world for who knows how long with only a backpack. He clearly *can* take care of himself otherwise he'd have died years ago. In the second he's almost just another kid, though he still has his moments, he spends the entire movie trying to convince Mavis that moving to his hometown is a bad idea, but he's too much of a pushover to say it directly. In the third he spends the entire cruise tripping his balls off And in the fourth he's even worse than in the second, becomig a complete manchild beyond rescuing and then godzilla.

The sad part is that Johnny is interesting In concept He's a weirdo pothead backpacker from Australia that goes to all sort of weird shows all over the world and is into monsters and spooky shit. He falls down a cliff in the middle of nowhere Europe, close to Transylvania, stumbles into a small hostel where he's told about a weird creepy haunted forest and immediately decides to investigate In the forest he sees a bunch of flaming zombies dismantling a small village and dragging it into a secret subterranean passage and immediately follows them into it. He sees a bunch of monsters crossing a bridge into a castle and doesn't even hesitate to enter, thinking it's just a weird convention. Sure he's a bit of a everyman, but his backstory is surprisingly interesting. They just never do anything with it beyond the "stoner" stereotype. In the second we know he doesn't want to move back to his hometown because it's boring and he'd not want his son to grow up there. From all his backstory Jhonny is a thrill seeker desperately running around in search of cool shit to do at every waking moment, never even stopping to settle down. The first movie ends with him marrying Mavis at the hotel after he grows attached to her while having fun exploring the new place with new people. And then they decide to stay rooted at the Hotel and Mavis instantly gets pregnant and they barely ever leave the place. They could've done so much more interesting things with him just by keeping with the character back stories: Mavis is 118 and wants to see the world outside the hotel she grew up in and Jhonny is basically a nomad/explorer constantly traveling around in search of something else to see or experience. And then they both settle down to Mavis' parents house.

I just recently watched the show. I Really agree that the way they do the Elimination of contestants makes it for me. I don't care for shows where people backstab each other, but in this one everyone knows the game.

Hmmmm as a manga reader all I can say is that this is accurate but you’re still underestimating the absolute peak this is about to be!! Also jst a lil fyi the 3 movies won’t just be the infinity castle arc…there’s actually one last finale arc called “the sunrise countdown arc” and it will take up the entire run time of the last movie and be the last arc of the series. it’s not confirmed as the last movie as of now but if it’s not it will be the last season of the show and the 3 movies will focus on the 3 upper rank fights (there’s more than just that but I’m no spoiler 🤭) the infinity castle is really about emotional concussions, backstory, world building and satisfying ends character arcs meanwhile the sunrise countdown is all about the final battle and tying up loose ends (like rengokus death, how Muzan needs to be killed, the fate of nezuko, who the man in tanjiro’s dreams and the demons memory’s is, the importance of heaven and hell etc) sorry for all the writing btw I just get hyped seeing others hyped especially when I know what’s gonna happen 🤩
