Oh man, red level alert level I so understand that. Since moving from DC, I've been able to lower my "readiness" level.

How do you set it up. What do you do to make sure your child homeschooling is credited?
@HomeschoolMomsUnfilteredАй бұрын
@@TheNicktarimarlene Generally homeschooling isn't accredited. Schools are accredited and not curriculum. It also isn't a big factor in the homeschooling world. It doesn't limit kids when they seek higher education. ((The one caveat to that is if your teen wants to play NCAA sports. Then you have some i's to dot and it's to cross during high school.))

I call BS on your opinion. Each day, each & every one of us gets out of bed, gets cleaned up, & heads out to work. When we get home, we cook, clean, mow the grass, wash the car, work on our hobbies, & perform whatever else we do at home. A SAHM that home-schools include each of these duties as part of the curriculum. Did you know that? Home economics, which is no longer taught in school, is included in home-schooling. In addition, how are the children going to respect the mother when she doesn't get dressed & ready for work? So, yes, I thoroughly believe that home-schooling Moms can & do take care of themselves, including the home, the children & the whole 9.

My canary could be a published writer if I paid one of the many private publishing houses to print his ramblings. Its called vanity publishing. Being a published writer is irreverent

My brother failed skipping in kindergarten. That was late 70s. We have pushed littles too far. As a homeschool advocate one of the "new" topics is homeschooling preschool. We try and try to explain that those years are life as usual, just continue what you have been doing since your child's birth. But. The pressure on parents to send their kids to prek is huge so if they don't send them away to a brick building they instead need to announce to friends and family that they are HOMESCHOOLING prek. Sigh.

The external pressure is so real - and equally unfortunate! I (Amanda) remember being asked at every well visit whether or not my kiddo was in preschool yet and having to justify my decision to not do preschool each and every visit.

So I shouldn't encourage/shame my kids by pitting them against each other. Hmmm mind blowing.

Amazing that the so-called experts needed oodles of studies to figure that out, isn't it?

10 is too old for a children's museum?! That's ridiculous! My son is 8. We took him to a children's museum in Raleigh, SC. and he had a blast! I just found this channel and am loving the conversation.

Hi 👋🏽 😊 I love that this started with acknowledging that we don’t have to fit a cookie cutter version of homeschooling presented in some social media. I have a 1 and 3 year old and am looking for the freedom that homeschooling can provide along with the time I will get to spend and the opportunities I hope it will provide my kiddos. But I have no idea where to start 😂 so this is super helpful! If anything I know now I don’t need to buy curriculum first😅. Thanks :) Would love more info on California charter homeschooling 😊
@HomeschoolMomsUnfiltered5 ай бұрын
Yes! You have AGES before you have to worry about curriculum. But it is good to start soaking up homeschool knowledge as early as possible! We are so glad you're here. This is Meagan, but I pinged Amanda about CA charter info. That's her jam and she's an awesome resource!
