Gone are those days When it was being Followed.....Only Name has remained but not the Practice ......Culture has got Eroded because of Migration and Paucity of Time with Young or Old .....Neither this Practice can get Revived nor is this Possible to be Followed as of now.

our society, especially a lady is very conscious about what people and relatives would say ,if we don't do anything as all others do. " हतऽ बी दह दर्य क्याह वनन? Or 'कुस बुथ दिमऽ दहन दर्यन' दर्य stands for all relatives When a daughter was married, then her husbands family is invited for a ghar achun and all grooms side relatives treated to a feast,and gifts were given to them in many forms by girls family. Similarly when the groom's family invited newly wed girls side relatives,they all came with gifts in cash and kind, gathered at one place and would call it ' दर्य बत्त च़ानुन' Having food at married girls in laws home was a no no,however this was an occasion when they would have food but not without giving gift in cash and kind for almost all in the groom's side. In both the cases the girls parental family were giving gifts to groom,his near and far relations in cash and kind. I remember when senior ladies would not still have food etc in girls in laws house. Gradually दर्य बत्त was distorted to दुर्य बत्त

Blaming exodus for everything is not logical. Even before exodus we became पथभ्रष्ट, hypocrites and namesake 'pandits' who first of all turned away from devnagri,sharda and kashmiri language together with our heritage and scriptures,sanatan philosophy,dress,food and society values.

Before partaking in the food & offering Hawan maet.. Take Aachman & recite the mantra for taking the food " ब्रह्मार्पणं ब्रह्मा हविर् ब्रह्माग्नौ ब्राह्मणहुतम् ब्रह्मैव तेन गन्तव्यं ब्रह्मकर्म समाधिनः। अहं वैश्वानरो भूत्वा प्रणिनाम् एहमाश्रितः प्राणापान समयुक्तः पचम्यन्नं चतुर्विधम्। ॐ शांति शांति शांति ॐ & MOST IMPORTANT Keep your food thali or any other untensil on some cloth ,sheet etc if u r not taking food on Dinning table.Give respect to the food.
