"in my dreams i hold a knife" by ashley winstead has the most major plot twists i have ever read! if you love plot twist definitely read this book and read it until the end because thats where the most plot twist are!
@mansparekh17 сағат бұрын
Funny you say that, I just read it this month! I had an idea of where it was heading, but it definitely had some surprises at the end there

@@mansparekhAnither book series i would reccomend is, "the book of ivy" and the second book to the series, "the revolution of ivy". They are by far the best books i have ever read however, they dont fit any of these i'd say other than short chapters and character development. Any amy engel books however are great! If your looking for some plot twist books with short chapters some books of hers I'd recommend is, "The familiar dark" or "I did it for you". The plot twist in the familiar dark I would never expect but lmk what you think if you ever read them!

This is exactly the video I needed bc I’ve been on such a memoir kick this year 🤌 really love Crying in H Mart and On Writing! My favorite this year has been Tell Me Everything by Minka Kelly. I loved what you said about not needing to know who the person is before reading their memoir bc I 100% agree!

Ooh I’d love to know why! Any other recs you have?
@Nothereforit1742 ай бұрын
I meant to get to that one when it was released in the US and forgot 😅. I think my favorite nonfiction books I’ve read are ones that I felt were essential to me for understanding my morals and history. All the old second wave feminists texts, not because they were all perfect, but understanding the foundation for modern women’s liberation before it could become the long time coming intersectionality and why women wanted a revolution and what feminism is beyond its pop culture depictions has been monumental for me. Bell Hooks though? Picking up un feminist thought and expanding it into a map for freedom for all?! I’d recommend her entire catalog. I like to know why books speak to people. What makes your pick your essential nonfiction from what you’ve read so far(if it’s okay to ask, book nerd in me loves knowing what/why people connect heavily to what they do)?
@mansparekh2 ай бұрын
I think I can be interested in most non-fiction topics. Can be history, psychology, science/health, ethics/philosophy. Learning is learning! But I often look for ones that I’ve heard are quite readable. If it’s too dry, it won’t hold my attention.
@readandre-read2 ай бұрын
