I think religion is a personal matter. But i have seen how tribal Christians are discarding their culture and tradition. A tribal identity is linked with his or her culture and tradition which also includes old pratices. If possible, the Christians should not discard their indigenous culture. And yes these days Hinduism are penetrating into the inner core of tribal indigenous religion such as Donyi polo. Diluting it with Hindu pratices. A general request , please preserve your language and culture even if you follow different faith and maintain it's purity.
