I was a bus driver during lockdown in Warwickshire and its the only time I actually enjoyed the job, driving empty roads with zero passengers. It was great.

Aberdeen is a total 💩 hole now. Worst city centre in Scotland by a country mile.

I'm moving back to Peterculter from Australia. I forgot how slow the bus was. Think it took me 1.5 hours from Clifton Rd. I lived on the north deeside and my parents were south deeside till I moved in 2003 to Queensland. I'm looking for a flat to buy and with the money left over from selling my house it would pay for some nice furniture and computer. Shame to start over but my stuff isn't worth taking with me as it's old and most came from mum when she passed. My tools will go to the local mechanic for an apprentice, now that I'm retired.

Well this brings back memories. I used to travel that route almost every day back in the day. And on the journey you past the locations of four different addresses that I lived at. Over a period of about 30 years that is.

Hey nice! I grew up in Torry (Balnagask Road - in one of the hen hooses); in the east of Aberdeen - now a musician/Pastor based in West of Aberdeen - thanks for posting. Affa fine min.

Hey! I grew up in Torry, then Northfield into my teens with my mum and 3 other brothers. I remember that bus journey! In those days there was an open back (no door) - which you could jump on and off, and a uniformed dude went around asking for us to pay for tickets (5p).

I lived in Victoria Road for many years - now in London. Recognise the screen shot. Wife and kids and me would walk into Union Street a lot. Miss the old place. Still got family in Wood Street near the 19th Hole. Played Balnagask Golf Course and the memories remain. The Golden Tee. Walkers Bar. The Torry Bar. Sandy's Sale Shop. Look forward to seeing the video.

Love this. So nostalgic. I left Aberdeen after I graduated in 1988. Moved to London with my wife. Still here. Aberdonian loon. What a change. I have been back a lot visiting family. I note the bus used to go up Bridge Street and across UTGs towards the Tivoli and the Theatre. Think it went up Rosemount. Now it goes parallel past Mounthooley Woolmanhill Hospital and Gilcomston. And the entrance to the Royal Infirmary is what used to be the rear. I note Murdo's Bar is still there. Spent many nights in there across from my sister in law Aggie who still lives there with Jimmy her husband. Tears now. Magical. Thank you.
