Nope...that isn't borscht. Sorry but I don't think you have a clue.

Please explain to me, a Ukrainian, who grew up eating authentic Ukrainian borscht, how to make it. I'll wait 😉

Wonderful recipe. Shame about ruzzian subtitles. Totally unnecessarily and insulting to Ukrainians.

So pretty! Making the tart crust seems kinda intimidating to me, though 😅

This is so peaceful to watch and learn from. So much better than dealing with a website with a bunch of pop-up ads.

Thanks for sharing this great recipe. You did such a great job. What temperature would I bake them at, and how long would I leave them in the oven? I can’t wait to give them a try. I will subscribe to your channel. The cookies look sooo delicious! Here’s a Big Texas Hug!
The Bread looks great, with lots of nice bubble holes. Many bread makers suggest letting the dough sit in the frigerator for a couple of days which will allow very slow yeast development that is said to further improve the taste. Thanks for the detailed instructions.

I can tell from the Crispness Sounds when the Pie is Poked that this is the real stuff. We are lucky that there is a restaurant close to us in Chicago (Bina's Place) where they have Burek that looks, feels, and probably tastes very much like the one in this video. However, I'm going to try to make this. Thanks for the wonderful Instructions. Failed, because I kept getting holes in the dough, because I believe the protein was developed enough. I may need to knead it longer to increase the gluten strength. Or perhaps the kitchen temperature was not warm enough for the resting time to get things right. In any case I will try again.

Made this tonight with a minor change or two. Used red potatoes and didn't have a bay leaf so I used fresh Tarragon and green onion. Tried to make a small batch since I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but ended up with plenty of leftovers, just not enough broth. Also substituted beef short ribs for the pork. My wife and I liked it, thanks for posting the recipe.

That's awesome to hear ! Beef short ribs work great in borscht as well! Thank you for your feedback.

Thanks for this great presentation-lesson. I have never made borsch before, but I am off to the store for the ingredients after watching this. I don`t know why, but I thought it was a really long and hard recipe. It`s cool out today, a typical autumn day, and I want some hot, tasty soup. Nothing is better than homemade. And I`ll pick up a loaf of bread from a good bakery in my neighborhood here in Lviv.
