Im only 5 minutes into this video and Im typing.. ""its been 16 years of silence"" .......... I started playing guitar when I was 12... Im 53 years old now.. Started playing the bars at 14. it didnt take long for the locals to see there was an up and coming new kid on the block.... I was no slouch... should have turn pro but it just wasnt in my cards... I thought I'd be the one who was 80,, walk into a music store and blow all the kids minds.. I fully had intentions of doing that... Then last year I had a major heart attack and stroke at the same time. Spent 10 days in ICU.. All accounts I should be 6 feet under but God had grace on me. But the trade off was not being able to play guitar anymore.. Ive tried. I have 10's of thousands in equipment.. Of course any musician knows you would get maybe a 10th of what its actually worth.. Anyway,, To have it taken from you is one thing. I physically cant play. But to make a conscience choice to not play and bring it to the world is beyond me.. You have to be dead inside to not go out and play for those who cant.. My Advice to all of you.. Play while you still can and record it.. You can thank me later

Judging by the inlay design on the fingerboard, I'm going to guess you might be playing a PRS guitar- maybe a seven-string? Looks like a right-handed guitar you are playing left-handed. Hendrix used to do that, as well. If I'm wrong, just call me a dumbass, LoL.

I hate to say this now, but when you read the Guitar World interview from 2022, when Vito talks about not being able to leave the house... It starts to sound like EXCUSES. There are people all over the world who have an elderly family member to take care of. They still manage to work jobs and have lives and even occasionally leave their houses for special events. If Vito WANTED to do some kind of one-off show, he could totally do it. He has the money to hire a nurse or home health aid. To be really honest, I think Vito makes excuses to himself because deep down he's afraid to try. I totally get it too. I can relate (in my own way). But I'm starting to get tired of him saying he "can't". The truth is, he won't. And that's totally his choice, but I'm not buying the excuses anymore.

Vito Bratta sounds like I tought he would sound when I first read his name in the late 80s, should be him and not Little Steven on the Sopranos! 🙃. What a talented guitar player! And sounds like a stand up guy. Hope we can listen to him again sometime soon!
