Are students allowed a bullseye compass on the geometry exam? I know there are no specifications regarding what type of compass they may use, but does the protractor on the end negate the bullseye compass?

I understand your question. I do know that many districts use this compass on the NYS Regents Exam even though it technically is a protractor as well.

Your answer to #6 is not strictly correct. You need absolute value bars on the variable x outside the radical. Both x and z might be negative in the original expression, but the square root of the square of a negative number, by definition, is positive.

Thank you! But I don't recall ever having an Alice in class, I got horrible Regents results my first year teaching because I had no idea what I was doing, and guitar man doesn't ring a bell! Or maybe I'm just getting old and losing my memory! Thank you for the comment :)
