In other words it's an absolute useless no reason test. That settles nothing with your problem. Why on earth should they be embarrassed. As long as it's only women doing the test on women and men doing the test on men.

I’m in the US and I have Meniere’s disease, which if I live long enough will leave me completely deaf, I suspect, but also I’m losing balance over time, and it’s degenerative. It can also be painful, and renders you hypersensitive to certain things/noises as well. But wait, there’s more! I’m AuDHD and sensory overload is something I need to account for as well. Even if I acquire no other issues than I’ve mentioned thus far, it’s a non-zero chance I’ll be rendered sufficiently disabled before full retirement age 14 years from now, and the way things are in the US certainly doesn’t encourage one to think collecting SSI or SSDI is something you would wish doing unless things are so bad, that living a very poor quality of life due to finances is better than somehow toughing it out as an employee somewhere. Before you qualify, you pretty much are forced to be destitute for an extended period of time. Sadly, there are those that defraud it. And as your case involves mobility limitations, it makes perfect sense to me they’d ask all the number of steps. Considering I have times where I’m suffering from severe vertigo from Meniere’s, I’d expect them to question my environment in detail because of that. Even with severe vertigo, I can walk quite a distance, so long as I’m not vomiting if it is severe enough, but that becomes a real safety issue (stairs are fun!), as does driving, and mass transit is… very suboptimal in all aspects where I am, even if I had no sensory issues that cause problems when I need to use it.

I received a letter from DWP in June, telling me I was going to be kept on my award until 2025. Like you - I got a text & 3 phone calls ensuring I would be available for my assessment interview. Exactly as you experienced. If I can interject, without commenting on your experience or others who will be naturally worried. I contacted my local disability group, when I received the official form to fill in which was August last year. I cannot stress how much this is a service where people who live with a disability, be it physical or mental are experience - they can help you to complete the form with YOUR living conditions be it physical or mental. Contact MIND, Citizens Advice Bureau, local Disability group. They can translate 'what the question really means'. I had my telephone assessment on Thursday - I don't know how it went, but I ended the call far happier than I was when I started. I stuck to my answers on the form (I got a copy emailed me by the disability advisor assisting me with my assessment). Really there is help out there. Google your town/city & MIND or Disability group or Welfare Benefits advice from your local council. Feel free to message me or in fact the wonderful lady vlogging. We are all in this together, wether you can see me have trouble walking or you do not see how my brain functions. Sending everyone my very best.

Although this video is quite old itis stoll really relevant. I have my first assesment first thing in the morning. They wrote to my GP and my mesntl health nurse showed me what my GP put and it was literally one or two word answers despite it asking a more in depth question and information. I dont feel like she has done anything to help me. My mental health nurse has been amazing she said if i don't get it she will try her best to help me. 😢 i was meant to have it 3 weeks ago and they cancelled on me 5 minutes before and it sent me spiralling. I feel so stressed. I didnt sleep a wink lastnight. 😳

Hi I am currently going on my second infusion and I think my migraines got worse.I have to take ubrevely quite often and I got a very rare side effect which was insomnia for 3 days straight. I would keep waking up in the middle of the night. I hope that they will improve on my second infusion in October.

I was told it would take8weeks for a decision and actually heard dead on2weeks later which was a shock as honestly thought it would be the8weeks. I had a video assessment booked and waited50minutes and no one came on so I called and was told the assessor had technical problems not me so I rescheduled it and they told me this would be the only time it would be changed. I said wait a minute I wasn't at fault here they were but was still told the assessment wouldn't be changed again. The cheek of the DWP!!!!!!

I had an unexpected call from dwp , started asking me questions about my pip form ,spent over 40 mins on the phone. Within 1 hour after this call I then received a text from pip to say the health assessor had sent over my report and a decision would be made in 6 weeks ! I had no idea this was an assessment, I just thought it was dwp just checking my problems and about my new address's!

My hubs is gluten sensitive so we’ve tried quite a few of these (also just watched your gluten story video). 🩷 Why does gf bread always look like toy bread haha? Interested in that pasta though haven’t seen that one here yet. Going to check the website out. We have a supermarket here in Spain called Mercadona which has a range of own brand cheaper gf foods. Lmao at the cats butt hahah. The tostada are like little pre-made toasts.
