I think it only took a few days, but I had a lot of attempts over and over again in that short time period.

I would've liked to reset the whole game and do this deathless if I wasn't in such as rush to get this video out. I wanted to get it out for Halloween, but I ended up missing that goal anyways. It's just another one of those things that's forever going to bother me, unfortunately. 😔 At least until I return to this mod when/if it gets updated for Chapter 5.

You have to S-Rank all the levels again, or replace your save file with another one which already has all S-Ranks.

As soon as you start a new game (when you hear Bierce say "Dark Deception"), the game will create a save file. If you re-enter the title screen, such as by restarting the game (which is what I did because the Bierce cutscene crashed for me), or by pausing the game on the main menu and pressing "quit to title", the "resume" option will be present. Clicking that will cause you to start the game right at Bierce's ballroom.

It's really hard to explain, but essentially, when the fake portals spawn, they never actually disappear until you die. They'll either only turn invisible, and/or lose their collision. When the "round" ends and the portals supposedly disappear, they explode, killing you if you're near, and turn invisible if they weren't already. So you need to memorise all fake portal locations at all times, and stay away from those areas when the "round" ends and they explode.

I explain why in the video already. It was to reduce lag and prevent Doom Ducky's head from clipping through the pillar. Increasing the graphics to max would've only made it worse. As for why I didn't turn the settings down to a minimum in the the first place, that's because I thought medium settings would be enough at first. However, I quickly learn that it wasn't after I lose a life because of it. 😅

It also changes the sounds, UI, and buffs some of the enemies. Mascot Mayhem was buffed most significantly.
