If you're not interacting directly with the electrical current to manually flip 1's and 0's are you REALLY a programmer?

This video does not represent reality. Most software companies don't care what programming language you're using as long as it can compile and that you can't explain what your code does.

I think 1 is the positive thought and 0 is the negative thought....but not all thoughts are clear 0 or 1.....like the desire "I want to have sex..." without thinking about reproduction....I think that's a longer strip of 0 or 1 thoughts. Like a binary string......😊

I am wondering how the interview looks like for position such as manager…or scrum master…or PO. 😂 And lets be honest guys, the most of the important and dirty work is done by devs. In other words project without devs is not even possible, project without all these soft skilled meeting people would go probably same maybe even more smoothly . 🥲

Job interviews are getting harder but this is misinformation. Unless the recruiter mentions that all interviews will be in a specific language, DSA interviewers let the candidate pick their preferred programming language.

I've been a software developer for almost 40 years now, and I run technical interviews for my company's engineering team. I ask simple questions that require the ability to write a program from scratch. The vast majority of people applying can't write a simple program, so if someone can think through the problem and write a program that fulfills the problem statement, they're hired. I can teach specifics that they're lacking that the company uses, but I don't want to have to teach introduction to software engineering and how to write software. :) My advice to fellow senior developers is to skip the super difficult puzzle questions and focus on how someone thinks through a problem. Ask about side projects they've done or talk about debugging challenges they've faced in other jobs or in school - any competent programmer, even those without any real-world experience yet, should be able to talk about debugging issues they've run into in their own software. It's easy to spot people who have copy-pasted ChatGPT answers to get their CS degree this way, they won't have any debugging experience and they won't understand how to write programs from scratch.

Ask high level questions in interview only to make us do shitty projects in which half work is done by gpt and the rest can be done if you have some knowledge of coding 😂

If you have 0 experience and is start learning from 0, HOW THE HECK can you promise them you will deliver a feature in a couple of hours? Genueny question. Why they would trust you? If I had a start up I would NEVER hire you for saying this.

Former systems engineer for a fortune-100 company from 2017 through 2023. I only ever actually wrote code in Perl and Ruby. No one understood my code so it didn't matter. Don't be a developer.
