Thanks Dave. It was a tough one because of the slippery surface. I’ve done it in snow and in the dry. It was dry on one side but wet on the far side. Anyway I’m glad I managed to do it with my youngest son. It was a brilliant day.

Morning Dave, merry Christmas to you. Blimey the weather on Boxing Day certainly looked better in the Lakes than it was here at home, although the rocks looked a little greasy up there. Haha All the best mate
@DaveGlennHewitt4 күн бұрын
Thank you pal. The rocks were very slippy. We took our time and got up. The weather inversion was amazing. Hope to see you out soon.

Hi Dave, a cracking little outing that. Looked very breezy on Gowbarrow. We just need some of the white stuff now, instead of it just raining all the bloody time. All the best mate. 😀⛰🥾

Hi Dave. Are there any threatening notices on your route?
@DaveGlennHewittАй бұрын
No signs or notices on my route.
@DaveGlennHewittАй бұрын
Make sure you get to the steel gate. Go up left to the wooden gate and further up through another gate and into the first meadow, continue by the wall on the right to a gap and up to the monument. There are no signs to keep you out. But there are lots of cows around and a bull. So be careful.
@susanmarsh1128Ай бұрын
Thanks Dave, we'll tackle this by this route now we know.
@susanmarsh1128Ай бұрын
Hi Dave, just done High Knott by your route, up to the monument. No cattle, farmers or signs. Perfect weather. Thanks for this. We never expected to find a trouble free route up. Seems few people know about it. 😊

Dam shame I had to miss out on this as I was away at the annual Whitby Goth Festival, something I never miss. Great meet up of so many people I have seen before and also, in the case of Mary and Derek hiking with before too. Shame the weather as it did look like a typical November day but at least the company was great, cheers Alan

It’s quite easy really. And best way up. The only problem are cows and a bull near the monument. I added this hike on to another for a full day.

Hi Dave, what’s the crack with this one ? Looks like no bother at all ? Cheers
@DaveGlennHewitt2 ай бұрын
It’s straight forward. At the steel gate go up to the left through a wooden gate then further up to a steel gate , go through pasture and through another gate gap on the right and up to the monument. The main problem is cows and a big bull. So if they are out of the way there isn’t a problem. Then back the same way.

Follow my map at the end of the video. Walk past the first small gate and to the larger brown wide gate.
