What bikes are you guys riding ? They look comfortable. I like the upright position.

@@MFN-wl6eg it’s basically a hard tail mountain bike setup. This route is best ridden on mountain bike width tires with some suspension up front.

What saddle are you on and do any of your buds use the same one? I’m moving to Florida next month and would love to do something like this. I’ve done a couple century rides now but I feel like my saddle is the component that would make the biggest difference in comfort at this point.
@FloridaBikeAdventures2 ай бұрын
Saddle is always a very personal decision. I have a Fizik Arione on all my bikes. I find consistency is key once I found the one I like. I have been on this saddle for over ten years

Question for any Floridians reading; How do u know if water is safe to wade through? Are there any signs or maps I could obtain? Thanks 🐊
@FloridaBikeAdventures3 ай бұрын
Always be careful entering any body of water in Florida. Alligators are afraid of people but always look for them before going through.

Could you please post the route files you used? I'd love to make this trip and it looks like you have the secret sauce! It looks like you wore a hydration pack and had some bike bags. Any advice on what was worth packing (since it looks like you stayed in lodging) and what was not? What tires did you roll with and did you set them up tubeless? Any advice and route files would be most appreciated. Thanks!

You can download my Strava file or I can email you my actual file. We had to route around the tunnel so my Strava file is def off. I did do bags and hydration pack. I can give you more detail. Shoot me an email at [email protected]
