Scary ow much talent these people got. Incredible

Joey and Jeff have the right amount of skill and seasoning. Sax player needs to not be a showboater and he'll be fine.
@jasongarey83296 ай бұрын
To have Joey and Jeff playing together is a powerful combination. The tenor player is good, but needs more seasoning.

Besides Joey's magnificent drive I love this trio. It exudes empathy, comfort. You know, I played, with Joey at the piano when he was 15 to 16 jamming at the Village Gate's terrace NYC. Whe you think of a point when you might be able to play anything at anytime l think of Joey because he's, still, the one who gets closer to that point. He has become a model of inspiration for anyone and everyone and so he will be remembered

Looks like he had relatively short fingers. Which didn’t stop him setting the bar pretty high in the B3 territory.

can't get enough of joey and his fellow artists- words can't describe how transcendent they are!

Great musicians - great melody, I would like to know the name of this great piece. Many Thanks.

It's called Ring-a-Ding-Ding! Originally recorded and released by Frank Sinatra in 1961, but also recorded by John Pizzarelli and the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra in 2006.

Been listening to him the past few days. What a swell guy and his playing is out of this world. Miss you, Joey. Rest easy pal.

Joey is amazing as usual in this extemporaneous performance. That said, something is off with the audio from Viscount organs vs. Hammond B2 organs IMHO (irrespective of Leslie speakers).

Amazing, four piece drum kit. If you count the ride cymbal as a piece and the high hat as a piece. LOL

geez...the camera hangs on Joey and I never know if he's just kickin' pedals or if there's actually a bass player with them...maybe it's just the lower register on the B? either way, it's super stuff.
@GuitarJay2 жыл бұрын
There was no bass player; it's all Joey.

Incredible to hear (and see) the walking bass line while he's soloing 9:33-9:44 😳😃

this is, without a doubt, the greatest Hammond B-3 player that's ever played it...I know there's been some great ones, but Joey rules, hands down.

My wife just gave me the biggest compliment. She thought that was me playing tenor! (She wasn't watching the video). I wish I could perform with Joey DeFrancesco!

Always amazing to listen to Joey. I have to say Troy was on fire as per usual and the fluid drummer too. The sax mic was good in the mix this time.
