I remember the brewery caught fire either the middle of 88, or 89. I was in a basement laboratory at RMIT doing a prac., when the place filled with smoke. We evacuated to see CUB with smoke pouring out of it.

i remember back in the early 90's on tv here in the states they had a story about CHOPPER that was to the effect "is this the craziest man in australia?" they showed him shooting bottles out of his friend's hand and they pointed out that he had cut off the tips of both his own ears. it wasn't til seven years later when youtube came along that i actually learned the guy's name and that he was actually somewhat of a celebrity in oz even though he was unknown here in the u.s.
