We've all been there. It can be terribly frustrating

music is hilariously well selected. Alastair has one skill I can learn from- remounting by straddling/couldn't figure that out yet, just used the side saddle type. I will have to practice that too.

Your ability to balance the kayak may not be there, but nothing wrong with your remount skills which is a good thing in the situation.

Fortunately for Alastair, his first time was captured on video. Unfortunately, mine was not.

This is the problem....Abby is still so much Abby! No pain, boxer wiggles, waits by the window for me to come home. Even if I've only been gone for 15 minutes she is so excited to see me. She has no clue that she's handicapped.

Yes, it's a devastating disease. We had about eighteen happy months after she was "down" in the back. Once they are down in the back, they get happier. If you can't stand up, you can't fall down. Unfortunately, we just had to say good bye to her last week, when she was losing her front legs. Even at the end, she was basically a meatloaf with a happy head on the end of it. So difficult to say good bye.

It did. Thanks. I appreciate the response. Some of the plants and the landscapes in the Rwenzori are almost surreal. I'm hoping to get there this year.

I can't recall specific temperatures or humidity. Probably best to see what we're wearing in various photos to give you some feel. Shorts and t shirts when sunny, light jumper when cloudy, shell when rainy. First and last day were lower, so more humidity. Summit day was cooler, so long pants and shell most of day. Below freezing at night at highest camps, but well above freezing at night for most camps. Hope this helps a bit.

Hi, can you tell me what the average day and night temperatures were when you were there in addition to the average humidity? I've looked online and it seems to differ quite a bit. Thanks

You must have had a fantastic time! I just wonder whether to climb Mnt Margharita from the Ugandan or the Congolese side.
