If this equipment is extremely expensive and jd doesn't allow anyone but themselves to fix it. Why would you buy something like this? Maybe farming is extremely lucrative
@theandersons7386Күн бұрын
Fk John Deer. Can't wait to see them get taxed 100% for moving all their factories out of the US.

I wouldn't buy a DEERE combine , I wouldn't take 1 if it was free ! It seems like Deere purposely engineered those , & newer tractors to breakdown , & that's how they make their $$ YOU have to foot the bill for transport from your farm to the dealership. Some farms are not just down the road , or the other side of the county , for some of you live 1 or 200 miles from the dealership , & you have to hire someone to haul your machine to & from your farm. I'd either get a Gleaner , or a MASSEY FURGASON !

Reminds me of the water filter in my Fridge that costs 50 bucks! I can get the filter without the "magic chip" for $20. When you look at the chip, it probably costs 30 dollars to manufacture and add to the backing of the label. It's the CHIP that makes the damn thing expensive anyway. RIGHT TO REPAIR! I have seen this before in the very early days of the personal computer business. Anyone remember the proprietary disk formats where they tried to lock you into their format? All those computer companies went out of business. Why? Because their treatment of the consumer drove customers away.

did they use footage from farming simulator?

Yeah they are amazing machines. Too bad JD doesn’t allow farmers to service their equipment. Between mandatory software updates and insane service fees JD doesn’t give a damn about their own customers.

I hope the hackers finds this information helpful in creating software to allow farmers the ability to repair their equipment they own. Support America by not buying John Deere products.

New Holland and International Harvester were the first with the rotor concept. John Deere always made fun of the idea until the patent period ran out and then JD built one too. LOL

Cost per ton of harvest, obviously doesn't include cost of the machine, or it's mandatory factory upkeep. Farmers are lucky they can put fuel in the thing, without a JD rep

Maybe better Don't buy it from this manufacturer. If after a while a little one dollar sensor that they don't make anymore breaks, you have to throw away the machine. So they sell you a new one.

thats every piece of ac gear made in the last 30+ years if something breaks you are either handy with microelectronics, or be prepared to pay an ungodly sum to the OEM of which they bought the part in the first place.
