Wonderful process video - thank you! I really like how you figured out a good way to strengthen the opening and leave a front pocket. I've seen lots of these where the default is that the envelope is closed and I loved how it worked in your flip-through with a pocket. I have some envelopes just waiting for me... 😁🥰

First of all, it's a lovely journal, second of all, I really like the personal touches you bring in from things connected to your mother. I am new to your channel but I'll try to go back and watch your process videos because I'm really curious. Thank you!! PS - what glue did you use to attach the toilet paper roll pocket? I'm nervous to try it for fear it will not stick on strongly enough...

Nice haul! The napkins find is like gold to us crafters. Crabtree & Evelyn was my favourite handcream. So expensive now at $36 a tube! It was back then too. I have not bought it in YEARS. Nice find! The funnels are unique. Definitely great for glitter. Sewing basket is fun to go through. I hope to find one one day and a cross stitch tablecloth and doilies. They seem everywhere, but not where I live sadly. The sorters at my community centre keep sewing baskets for themselves.

@@thistledewcreations I need to look that up. Maybe its the same thing I am looking for? Idk what these tablecloths, runners, are called but they were everywhere and looked similar even if patterns varied. I even thought to try to make it myself. They may be late 70s-80s. Same with the tapestry bags & sweatshirts with cats and dogs which were everywhere. You think they will always be around.
@canadianjaneoriginalАй бұрын
@@thistledewcreations ok just looked it up. If I ever find some I can save it for you. I used to see that in the day. Not for years now.
@canadianjaneoriginalАй бұрын
What a haul! I am so hungry after seeing u flip through these at 7am lol. I did weight watchers when I was younger through photocopies someone made for me. My teacher had lost so much weight, I asked her how she did it. I still have them saved somewhere and are so worn. I could never join because it was expensive and very far away. Imagine now getting all those books for free! They cost money if you are signed up. How times have changed. I don’t want to believe 33 years have flown by since those days. I regret not grabbing old cookbooks back then when they were everywhere and $0.25 used. I would love to come across free cookbooks and community cookbooks. What a trip through time. That Eaton’s tag in the Fondu brought me back to childhood❤. I would keep photocopies of some recipes. I love the Bros n Butter, the community cookbooks, the Brands recipe cookbook❤ They are all great for JJ purposes and recipe hoarding. I would love to find any typewriter written recipes with drawings in the future.

@thistledewcreationsАй бұрын

@canadianjaneoriginalАй бұрын
I was never that lucky! But your deckled edges are perfect. I never saw scissors with that edge, mostly flourishy or scalloped, pinking styles. It has to be specific to the brand you own. This kind of makes deckle edging an entire stack of paper easier.
@donnabright1126Ай бұрын
Cute idea. Why not cut out the two hexagonal shapes in one piece and then fold. Eliminates the need for stapling as far as I can figure.

I can't remember being so insanely inspired in a while. Thank you! So are the clusters built ON the pages? And are all the layers glued together? I am SO ready to bust through my endless scraps....
@thistledewcreationsАй бұрын
Yes, i put a sturdy piece of paper like paper bag as the bottom layer and just a swipe of gluestick to hold it. They are relatively easy to remove when you want to use one.
