Absolutely beautiful! I have a question for you... I found a possibly rare and valuable 1929 buffalo nickle while sweeping at work yesterday. I was curious about the best way to make it intona necklace without damaging the coin in any way. (No holes or adhesive) Any ideas would be appreciated 🙏🏼💞
@AlenesAdornments3 ай бұрын
@@paige-vt8fn thanks for the compliment. There are 2 ways to set the nickel. One is called wire wrap and consist of wrapping wire around the coin. You could probably find a tutorial on this easily. The other would be to create silver bezel around the coin. I would suggest keeping the back as open as possible to show off the coin. Look for tutorials on KZbin

I just got a hiwlite bracelet in a goodwill box. Nice big round balls of howlite. How does it compare in price to turquoise?
@AlenesAdornments11 ай бұрын
Hi Joann. Howlite is much more affordable than turquoise. A lot depends upon the quality of the turquoise but I would venture to say it is about 1/4 the price of turquoise. It is still a lovely stone though. Sounds like you now own a nice bracelet

Hi Linda. I have had the gems for well over a year now and see no fading. I know they are treated to prevent it. That being said I would not wear them consistently in direct sunlight or if working with chemicals

I have a slab that is polished and very nice on one side but the other side is rough but when I put water on it it's beautiful. When it dries up it goes back to being very rough. Is there a treatment I can put on it to make it purple again?
