So many thoughts on Dracul. Am I the only one who thinks it doesn't sound as good as Empress? The tone is too dark and it gets buried in the mix. I also think Rick plays it differently, and not in a good way. DeLuis makes amazing guitars, but this one's not for Rick or Goose. Honestly, put it back on the rack and go back to Empress, please.

Tbf, the last Avondale show was night 4 of a run after three nights at The Ryman. They seemed a bit tired by night 4, IMO.

Keep the encores and just plan the shows better by adding 30 mins, as Ryan said.

I wish Rick was more interactive with Julian in Chicago. It seemed like he stepped back and let Julian do his thing. Nothing wrong with that because he is crazy talented and playing a lot different style than goose usually does, but seemed like a missed opportunity. There were times it looked like Julian was wanting him to play back and forth or dueling leads, but Rick seemed to decline. They were great together, but was hoping for some truly crazy trade offs and/or dual leads like he did with Trey (because I know Rick can keep up with both).

Not sure why one would want to have the Deep Impact and Future Impact on a board at the same time given that patches 21-29 of the current v3.5 Future Impact soundset are the original 9 Deep Impact patches. Also, Deep Impact is NOT an analogue pedal; like the Future Impact, it is a fully digital pedal with a VIRTUAL ANALOGUE sound engine.

My 7th show and definitely the most unique of the bunch. Love the venue, so I was excited for this one. Wife prefers sing-song Goose over dark Goose, so this was a good one for her to be out of town for. I really dug the FTPs. Was the second show for the guys to my right and left and they really dug it. It was STEAMY under the roof before the first set started. That’s it for me in September - happy tour, y’all!

No, with Phish and all other great jam bands, if curfew is 11 you need a 6 pm start time. That way the band is on by 6:30, takes a 30 min break and still has 3 hours to play with.
