I bought a lamp at Walmart (for $20 CAN) with this top at 2:21.. this girl came over and said it was a beautiful lamp. The very day after she said that it unraveled. And I've not seen one since except a cite that sells them for $800

Danish design is generally really beautiful, but I’ve never understood the fascination with this monkey or why it’s selling for exuberant amount of money. It’s nothing special, has no function or aesthetic. Baffling!
@Luka118010 ай бұрын
It does have a function. The original intention was to be a coat extender for kids who couldn't reach the adults' coat hangers, and secondly a toy.

I've had my Abe for 10 years and just recently, the elastic band for his arms disintegrated. I have the repair kit and I have 2 questions: 1) How best do i remove the original nails? And 2) How best to insert the new nail and secure it in? - Please refer me to the tools. Mange Tak!!!

The nail will go in easily IF you aim it between the two strands of rubber. Make sure you don't have the strands twisted. A bright light will help you see if they're straight or not. You can also do a preliminary probe with a dull needle (like a tapestry needle). Avoid just forcing the nail in through the rubber itself because that will weaken it. Once the nail is in, the tension of the rubber loop will hold it in place. Nothing else is needed. The factory has a metal rod secured to the work table for looping the string on. Those of us at home can use a doorknob or some other thing that will not move. You might need someone else to hold a flashlight so you can see what you're doing. I've done a lot of these and I still can't do it as quickly as they do in the factory.

I took needle nose tool and backed my nails out through the side hole of the arm and out the top. I reused the old nails. This is probably too late.

The o ring will hold the nail in place if the sharp part goes down in the wood.

I feel like HAY just copied Aykasa's design and colors. Although I love that these are recycled, I feel like the crates are a bit more boring with the vertical slots rather than the original diagonals ones from Aykasa. Also dope was that the originals' longer sides open up more, again with that diagonal aesthetic so it is easier to see what's in the crate. I think it's a shame that the two companies couldn't work together but are now competing. I feel like HAY is being a bit unoriginal in mimicing the Turkish brand's cultural contribution, but it is really cool that they are recycled plastic. So I'm a bit torn.

The Hay crates have sides of equal height which is, at least for my use case, a huge difference.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE. I paid $500 for the express shipping but it took more than a month. And eventually I only got the table legs without a table top. They asked me if I still want the table(what a stupid question) and sent me the same table again. BUT…. THEY PUT BILLING ADDRESS instead of my actual address. It was too stressful and I won’t use this website again. Just make sure you have enough time to wait for the item and useless customer service.
