Hello my mum as just had this done. She's blind in one eye and very short sighted, her good eye she couldn't see from that eye. So had the injection two days ago, she still can't see and is getting very depressed. Could anyone tell me will she see again or who long it takes to see again?. Any information would be so appreciated. Thankyou

I have wet macular degneration in my left eye. I got my third injection of Avastin 8-2-24. After the numbing medication and antiseptic is applied, my doctor, who is a retina specialist, asked me to lean my head back. He held my eye open with his gloved hand and did the injection--a a couple of seconds of feeling a slight pressure in my eye and it was over. There was no cloth covering over my face, nothing scary other than the idea of being injected in your eye. In reality, there's not much to it. My vision has improved quite a bit. I'll go back in seven weeks and he'll decide what to do next. I'm sure I'll continue to need shots, but, instead of monthly shots, I'm hoping that maybe a longer interval will work for me.

I have been having this done with lazer for past year or more but i cant do it without sedation if you ask about sedation they may be able to help you that way good luck and all my best for you.

@@liamkush5489 I hope your laser treatment is going well and that there are improvements. I had a laser scan and my third injection a couple of days ago and apart from 4 or 5 seconds of quite intense discomfort each time while the fluid is being pumped in, it's okay, thanks. The upshot is that there has been a vast improvement in the sight of my eye but for some reason - and I forgot to ask why, colours have changed quite a bit in that eye, such that I see deep yellow as white, a normal white light now looks like those LED headlights you see on cars, red is now pink and green is a sort of turquoise! In the waiting area, I sat next to an elderly lady who was in for her 30th injection and she has Wet AMD in both eyes and unfortunately, for some reason they can't use laser treatment on her. Again though, like me, she realises the alternative to not having the injections.

Its hilarious how the folks administrating the drops and injections are explaing all that is going on during the procedure. I will guarantee that doesnt happen. Uncomfortable my ass more like extremely painful. How this barbaric treatment is allowed is beyond me. There has to be eye drops or a oral medication that will work.what a bullshit video.

The waiting times are far too long because the staff get abused and when they go to prison and come back theyre allowed to be treated by the nurses the abused the first time so how about they ban any person that abuses a member of the healthcare team for life if you abuse someone that saves your life you dont deserve to have your life saved so if you permanently ban abusers of healthcare proffessionals then the waiting times will go down because there will be less people to treat

No Rx needed...all supplements. It helped my sister in law too. Pain levels went from an 8 out of 10 to a level 2 out of 10.
