It was good of Pete and Roger to give Noel a taste of the real thing.

The angry cynicism of this song will never fade. It's a song for every age none more relevant than now. Townsend's finest and peerless work.

Is that Zak Starkey on drums?

The guitar Noel is using was actually originally Pete Townsend's. Pete gave it to Johnny Marr who gave it to Noel Gallagher. Fitting that Noel used it here

This is awesome! I’m 73 and grew up with this music. I love oasis. Their music is a homage to our generation. Noel will forget this Rock on roger and Pete!

Noel could have practiced a bit more. He winged it. Entwistle gave him a look at one point, like, Really? That was your preparation?

The Who is one of those bands that as a kid I felt instantly cool when I realized I loved this band as a 6th grader late 70s. I know my next statement is opinion: This quite possibly the greatest rock anthem ever. This song has it all! I realized that the Who in 71 with this album, Who’s next, totally evolved and transformed into this newer, cooler version of the Who. IDK, I can’t explain 😂 This by far is one of the coolest songs ever from start, middle, and end. Ty, Who for being so FN cool!

The one who always rallies with grace, will always get a ☺️ look on his face.. especially when he holds my hand whilst sharing popcorn as I press play to show him my late maestro father’s unreleased 16mm footage of circa mid 70’s/ Early 80’s >> The Who .. omg! Hearing and seeing this for the first time, sever,;) has got me feeling some kind of way.. Jimi, Janis, James, Marc, John, George, Keith agree.. that gal.. THAT one, @noelgallagher

WOW, what a fabulous opportunity for Noel to be in a true Rock and Roll legendary rock band. Mr Starkey, what a drummer.... The WHO sounds like the same energetic band from the 60's & 70's

i think the Les Paul guitar Noel is playing is the one Johnny Marr gave him, that previously belonged to Pete Townsend.

The les paul that noel is playing was originally Pete Townshends guitar. Townsend gave it to Johnny marr then johnny gave it to noel.

What's even cooler about this is I believe the Les Paul Noel is playing was owned by Pete Townshend and then later Johnny Marr before Marr gifted it to Noel.

Great song, but a terrible video direction of the song. Next time get Michael A. Simon, he'll get it right like he did with the Bee Gees, One Night Only.
