philosophy is about feelings and not ideas. this. this is by far what touched me most. because i often feel as though... my thoughts are not sophisticated enough. why cant i have such thoughts which i put into my writings all the time. why cant i have the best, most intricate ideas all of the time? i would try so hard to think as though i were reading a philosophy book in my mind, if i wasnt reading philosophy books all the time. when i came to a psychologist, she described what i did as weighing the branches with countless leaves and cutting away my roots. i had to learn to use my abstraction, because it is to me as though living. in fact it is quite hard for me not to think in the manner that i think in, in that literal evocation and challenging of words and situations that brings them to another perspective. and i believe that what abstraction evokes, sensuality illustrates. that is the way of the artist, in both verbal and visual expression. it is the ultimate both and, or rather recognizing that art is inherently a thought, a sense, an ex-pression and above all, sympoiesis and not autopoiesis. thoughts will not spring out magically by sitting on the floor trying to think. that is inherently anti-thought. its as if when someone turns their inherent nature into an ideal, they create a caricature of themselves. nurturing, recognizing, growing and cultivating my feelings and the fire within my heart is what freed me of my own tyranny. such is the way of the master. situation, context, life, material reality is crucial to thought and ex-pression. and that bringing into matter and achieving excellence is true mastery. the idea is but the lamp post, not the path itself. i have discovered many of my most crucial concepts through the various emotion-scapes and sensual experiences that have so richly illustrated my way of life, my thoughts. but why must i speak of them so? my thoughts are inherently life-full, my life thoughtful. now i think as i feel, i write as i think, i nurture the river within in its many unfoldings and turnings, cascades and revelations. but i think, now it is more of a winding path with many interesting sites, moving quite fast in the thoughtscape, i have arrived in a new jungle of feminist post human cyborg kinmaking thought of donna haraway, it resonates with me very much. i dont try anymore, i do.

My God, I am finding Morton’s work immensely comforting lately. The way they deal with such dark and hard subjects from all these angles of compassion, emotion, spirituality, art… it just nourishes me in some places that are hard to define but summed up perhaps by them saying the words “grief is the biggest emotion”. I feel that. It helps to have words for it.
