Also, if you filter the funnel, you only need one fan. It'll keep working on what's in front of it till it changes, fits the filter, and enters the chest. Less chance of over cooking and losing the item, which can happen with fire/haunting(I think). It also uses less stress, so you can speed it up.

doubles ores ... laughs in Mekanism. Especially if you have integrated dynamics. mine with silk touch, and you get a solid 6(plus chance for more iirc??) raw clumps per ore, then with minimal setup can get doubling or even tripling.

wooden hoe? yeah not much point in any other, except maybe stone so it lasts a touch longer. there's otherwise no benefit until you're swimming in diamonds or something. wooden pick? yeah, then burn through it to get a stack of cobble anything else? there's almost no reason to use wooden tools, you're better off with your bare hands.

Also, I played with this mod back in the 1.6/1.7 days and WOW is it a PITA if you don't have autocrafting...

There's always a death when setting up these mob grinders lol For any renewables, you should make a chest that's completely separate from storage containing the materials needed to regenerate them. It has helped me get out of a pickle or two.

You should use mekanism smelters for smelting. Way faster than Redstone Furnaces.

Most ore doubling was disabled since many ores are now affected by fortune, giving a different way to increase the resources you mine.

Don't forget you can use ftb chunkloading, unless I'm mistaken. It might be a separate mod entirely, I guess
