Klaus orchestrated that whole scene so that the pack would see Hayley stand up to him, who they hate, in defence of them, even a traitor like Oliver and prove to them that she is their true Queen.

Plus, even before they were hunted down by Mikael, the pack didn’t even try to find him and help him escape Mikael’s grasp, making Klaus believe that most of the werewolves (with a few exceptions like Hayley) cannot be trusted, because of how much pain they caused him when he was a human and believed that the wolves would do the same to Hope.

Malcolm's training is a bit too harsh. The part about him outright attacking Thea to train her is parental abuse if you think about it. But Thea defeating him in a rematch is indeed impressive

I do not know who was the greater evil to Klaus before becoming Originals Esther Or Mikael Or Ansel yeah Esther tried to talk Mikael down from beating Nik and the other children with unsuccesss regularly and plainly and blankly but she was a powerful witch that could of used her powers to put a stop to Mikaels handings at any point she was that powerful and skilled and skillful she cared more about her hiding her greatest shame and secret then protecting her young from a cruel bully of a Father. And Ansel knew where Klaus was and the way he was treated yet never rescued him or saved him I know Esther forbid him but Ansel should of defied her anyways knowing that Klaus would be better staying with a Parent who actual would care for the children more then there spouses or flings yeah.

It isn't just that Damon made Elena feel alive again. She made him feel alive again in making him feel human. You can see this in his comments as he falls in love with her. "That I can learn to be a non-living living person." "I like being a living dead person." Being around her and being in her world connected him to her world as a living person, so he not only felt alive, Mystic Falls felt like home again. This is something he jokes about with Stefan in the pilot episode because understanding it requires he feel it for himself. When Elena dies, it's all the same. That's why their first meeting belongs in 3x22. For that very brief moment, she had human Damon. But he's not human, he's a vampire.
