And by "fought".. he means... "pretended to actually fight"... and that was all blown out of the water in 1993. I love Chuck... but he wasn't a fighter. Royce is.

I state here why I have no respect for this ed Parker. When Red west was let go together with Sonny West and Dave Hebler by Vernon Presley, he fired them as their main bodyguards, because they were telling Elvis the truth about how he was sending himself to hell with so much drugs. Ed Parker was hired to take Red west's place, it wasn't long before Parker disappointed Elvis, when he dropped in on him unexpectedly, and saw he had been promoting and using Elvis's name a personality for his tournaments, without his consent, he shot back to Graceland not before firing him . This would had never been done by the faithful 3 that were fired. I sure as hell don't miss Ed Parker.

I'll try , say that you have set up the perfect front kick , but you throw a ball thrust kick not a snap kick.... the Japanese refer to this as "one cut one mind" intent... you can't pull it back , you are committed ! The other one is like , back fist to the right and moving to the left... you divide the energy. I hope that helps.
@jspk26
@jspk26 3 жыл бұрын
@@daneck100 Hi. Thanks for your answer. Yes, point of no return is a concept I know and was clear. The other concept is difficult to grasp. Why do you want to divide the energy?
@sniktkc2592
@sniktkc2592 3 жыл бұрын
@@jspk26 you dont want to divide the energy, thats mr parkers point...throwing the right back knuckle is ok, but sending your left shoulder too far back is an over turn, dividing the energy, taking energy away from the strike...thats my interpretation anyway...salute :)
@jspk26
@jspk26 3 жыл бұрын
@@sniktkc2592 ok. So you mean you don't want to be in that position that your energy is not fully directed to the backfist. That's it?
@sniktkc2592
@sniktkc2592 3 жыл бұрын
@@jspk26 basically yes, don't "overturn" backwards...remember your base principles...back up mass, marriage of gravity, rotational torque...don't throw that back knuckle out while sending the other shoulder in the opposite direction too far, you are decreasing your power, that is my interpretation of what he is teaching in this video...salute

I met Ed Parker as a skinny teenager at his studio in Pasadena back in 1973. He had each of us students throw a punch at him. He had his girlfriend or wife at him at the time. I didn’t throw my punch as hard as he wanted, and warned me he would punch me harder if I didn’t try more. I felt so intimidated by him as a yellow belt I ended getting my right rib broken with his knuckle punch. His girlfriend was shocked at this. This was my memory of Mr. Parker.
