Good practice for piano players to play along with. And Bass Player’s… But he does get lost at some point

I was lucky enough to hear this duo several times. Those performances are among the most outstanding I've ever heard. Remarkable geniuses in love with each other and the music. And, I might add, two of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

What an excellent tone. Steve has the best voice on soprano and alto. Smooth, sweet, dark and just very beautiful.

Good musicians, especially Lewis, but I'll bet this tune could benefit from addition of good bass and piano. The tune's rhythm is explored well but the harmonies could be clearer.

I didn't hear Steve flub any of the harmonies... I think there was one part where his line got to the beginning of bar 5 of the A section a little earlier than he'd expected but other than that the harmony was spot on. I actually thought it was great considering how on top of hitting the harmonies nicely his concept is really creative, well-rooted, and original. Seems weird of you to be vibing such a great performance on his part. This duo is world-class.

@145321 word, nobody plays the authentic rhythms in jazz for the most part, playing those rhythms on a set is inauthentic in the first place anyways. And Im sure Steve Wilson isnt complaining. But most drummers playing authentic cuban music play around the clave, just like drummers play around 2 and 4 when they swing
