Lowers herd agression while eating together, get almost double the amount of time out of feeding a roll due to lower % loss as roll expands but stays grouped inside net, mimics normal grazing as animals can only take small nib bites at a time.

It is also for horses that eat too fast or too much. Kind of like a dog that gets bloat - same concept. And to trim horses down.

You can do it both ways. If your hay is packed tight, you can take the wrap off before you put the net on and you shouldn't loose much hay. If your hay is loosely packed, we recommend putting the net on 1st, but not cinching it closed yet. Next, lift the bale and cinch the rope up to leave a hole big enough to run a blade across the wrap on the bottom side of the bale. Once the wrap is cut, pull it down and off the bale. Then cinch the net up and close the hole. That should help minimize hay loss.
