I met this group when they sang in Charlotte NC in the 80s and love them, they sign the albums I had .

Thanks for posting. Joe Russell was always my favorite group member!!! I believe he also had the best voice ever!!!! Gone but never forgotten Sweet Joe!!!!!!

In my record collecting career, I bought only albums from two vocal groups, the Rolling Stones and The Persuasions. If I had to do it all over again, I would still by the same albums by the same two groups. Thank you, Tom Luciani and Joe Marchesani ("The Time Capsule Show," WFUV 90.7 in the Bronx NY) for introducing me to The Persuasions.

Sweet Joe was one of the nicest guys I ever met. I was lucky enough to take him to dinner, talk with him on the phone after 9/11, share some personal conversation time with him, and sing with him on two different occasions. He was simply one of the most beautiful souls I have ever met. I still miss you, my friend.
