Yohana, you are smart beautiful and well spoken young lady, like many of your sisters you have suffered so much in the hands of the dictatorial regime inside Eritrea, and escaping your homeland through desert in unspeakable journey with human smuggling, rape and unwanted sexual violence and pregnancies, to mention some. These has to stop by women and men coming together to put an end to the nightmare facing women inside Eritrea and also abroad. You Yohana and those like are the promising young leaders going to be in the New Democratic Eritrea who will work to free women and men and bring equal opportunities to all. Selam Dr. Jemila, thank you so much. Your presentation is very enlightening. You raised the main points we need to discuss in our community to raise awareness. Like you said, “Boys will be boys” is an excuse to continue bad behavior. Actually, men should be offended by this because boys should grow up and be respectful civilized men. The other important point you raised is that we should educate our new generation. To eliminate violence against women and girls, we should raise our children right. The third point I want to emphasize is that violence is violence and we should condemn it. Very rarely women could be violent against their husbands. All the points you raised are important. Thank again and thank you EWANA for presenting this intelligent young woman
